    I believe the gist is that she's using other family members' switches and profiles to visit her island to water the plants because you get benefits for networking with others. So any Switch he gets will just get roped into this plant-watering pyramid scheme as well.

    If visitors water your flowers, you can increase the chance of a new plant spawning by up to 80% (depending on the number of people watering- 5 gets the max bonus.)

    Furthermore, visitors who water black roses can impart the chance of a gold rose being spawned without using gold watering cans. I don't know if it's a lower rate than you get with a gold can though, or if positioning matters like it does with a gold can.

    (And yes, I do have every flower in the game now. Even the blue roses.)
