I think all you can realistically do is prepare to travel, which would require you to discard one of your tickets. You could discard the rail ticket for a ship one and then be in a good position to zip through Antarctica next turn to the clue. Let me know, and then fight the ghost again.
@jdarksun hires a syndicate agent, who is replaced by a Lucky Cigarette Case. They then jump through the gate to look for a book in the bizarro library.
