Sounds like someone's angry about Avalanche, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Avalanche sucks
it's far to easy to miss use or mistime and get nothing
Avalanche is really good! I've been getting a ton of good value from it. It has a really easy setup with E, that's literally all you need since E slows by 80%. Just E behind someone and you get a free Avalanche.
I've also been using it for peel as well, just getting dive heroes off my squishies.

I think it's pretty obvious... Her ults are similar to Gust and VP - if you don't know how to use them you can absolutely fuck your team over. People also do thing where they keep trying to Avalanche the enemy team into their team. Except now you, the tank, are isolated from everyone while the enemy team is behind your own backline.
Ice Wall is a stasis - it doesn't interrupt and your team can't damage heroes caught inside it. Which means if you Ice Wall a target that is about to die, all you're doing is buying them or their teammates time to help. And unlike VP there's a delay, so you can't really use it to set up an engage unless you're throwing it from outside of vision and the other team has no way to avoid it.
So this is a bit of a weird time to be a Stukov main, huh?
Anyway, what I actually came here to say is: I've only been dipping my toe in here and there, but did y'all know Avalanche can carry enemies through keep walls? I assume so, but shit's ridiculous all the same.
What a bizarre interpretation of Mei this is. It feels further away from the original kit and concept than maybe any other character, but I kinda love it.
What do you mean? Being the top player in a losing MOBA game is great because you get to blame the loss on everyone else and rage out on the forums! Sweet, sweet rage.

MY FUCKIN POTATO-ASS TEAMMATES HOLDING ME BACK I'M OVER HERE LIVING MY BEST LIFE AS MEI I'M TOPPING DAMAGE SEVENTY EIGHT THOUSAND FUCKING DAMAGE BIG FUCKIN DAMAGE AND NONE OF THESE GODDAMN TATER TOTS KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE VIDEO GAME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I've been going back and forth between Ice Storm and Heat Transfer for lvl 1. As far as I can tell there's not a clear winner, it seems pretty comp dependant.
At 4 I know in my heart that Crystallize is the better talent, but I prefer Slushball. The disable is a good save if your diver gets too feisty.
At 7 Induce Hibernation if I'm up against melee. Skating Away if not.
Avalanche at 10. I just really don't like Ice Wall.
Next up, honestly everything at 13 is good. Polar Vortex gets the edge for being spicier tho. I have had good luck with Heat Transfer / Induve Hibernation / Flurry against multiple melee brute/tank teams tho.
16 is Black Ice. The straight upgrade to the slow is really good.
20 is an easy choice of Flash Freeze. I've taken Cascade a few times, the snow balls are meh at best but the CDR is pretty nice.
So that's what I've been doing with Mei. Works pretty good. Definitely a fun as hell hero.
One of the best uses of Avalanche I've found has been to E into the enemy team, split them with the knockback, then Avalanche forward and carry off the remainder of the team as you focus down the ones that are left
Bonus if you can nail the Healer in the Avalanche, it's pretty backbreaking to remove the enemy team's Healer for that long.
Even if your kill target ends up being the Tank.... It's worth it if you get the kill and they can't escape.
The whole concept of landing a short range skillshot onto a target and shooting a second skillshot off of that first target onto a second moving target though....
Fuckin' just couldn't do it breh
Was fucking my brain up. I knew what I had to do, I just couldn't execute it.
Rework KTZ to not make him an instantly-delete-two-heroes character tho imo (or even single hero)
Ok I picked the LI LI route but sadly I keep getting tank as my daily so today I will complete the Exp quest and am doomed to play a healer for 4 games
I've come to really appreciate playing Uther in the offlane as a second support. Between Holy Radiance (W) and Holy Fire at 4, his Waveclear's not half-bad. And mana's not an issue with Hammer of the Lightbringer, which you'll complete really quickly in the offlane by just attacking minions. Once that's finished, he's a goddamned monster in a teamfight, too. Just constantly bonking motherfuckers on the head with Hammer of Justice.

He's been nerfed like, 4 patches in a row or something. Still strong imo but you'll see him less now.

He's free this week. I assumed that i'd see more people trying him.
Anyway, like i said, it'd fine. I can be the deathwing.

We killed 3 of them.
All 5 of us are up.
Their core is all that's left.
Need 20 coins for turn, we have 0.
Our 2 tanks decide to camp instead of literally just right-clicking core.
10 mins later we lose.

Watching Fan/Jun stack on and destroy people is oddly satisfying. Jin using Stage Dive to avoid Last Rites was nuts.
Of course, the best part is around 8:50 where I make an appearance.

Like, fuck yeah, make up entirely new shit for Mei. That's fucking cool as hell. She still feels like Mei, so I'd say they nailed it.

Holy moly, Mei can REALLY pump out a lot of fucking damage.
I'm super duper sold on Polar Vortex now, by the way, that talent is fuckin' amazing.
I went Black Ice this game but eeeeeh I'm still not sold on that one... Acclimation just seems kind of incredible.
edit: Oh, and here's one from a game I lost, but holy shit look at that damage output:

I like that they threw in one bad Avalanche (abathur one) with the good ones.
What a long, hard road that's been, lol.
