This song caught me off guard the first time I heard it, but it's really grown on me super hard after subsequent listens. It really does capture the feeling of being set upon by two Ace pilots at the same time.
If I recall my ancient lore, the soundtrack was made, but the team/person behind it found it interfered with the gameplay. It was a different time, I’m sure the music could be set to lower in volume at the right moments in a modern game or some other work around.

That game is like if someone took the Joke Date UI from Undertale and said “this isn’t confusing enough”
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

"Hey, that OST you used is great, but it's not quite fitting the gameplay-"
"Okay, so what if we-"
"Nah, we just released the game with no soundtrack at all."
Yahtzee once said that he thought JRPGs were games for people who think spreadsheets are the height of entertainment, and while the man is known for exaggerating for effect, in the case of Knights in the Nightmare, it is 100% an apt description.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
I can't remember if I've posted this already. I'm just blown away every time it comes up in random rotation. Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett are a musical match made in heaven (or Hades, as the case may be).

The biggest waste of a soundtrack ever.
I like the game just fine, but it doesn't use the OST. At all.
