playing against smurfs in ranked is so frustrating it makes me want to scream
playing against smurfs in ranked boosting a yuumi who is extremely racist and offensive in chat the entire game makes me want to throw my computer out the window.
yeah I've been getting a lot of lvl 30 accounts in my games recently on both sides
it's such a tossup as to whether you get someone breezing their way back to diamond or someone who was a bit below your elo right before they were banned and is currently tilting+flaming their way back down
sometimes smurfs play in such an annoying way, like I loved getting this LPL-tier Sett support and we shat on lane but he also went for really high risk/high reward plays which worked when he tried them with me alone and *did not work* when he tried them with the rest of the map (who were all behind). Game ended with him trying to initiate 1v5 like 3 screens away from everyone else, just tilted off the face of the earth.
But then a couple days ago I was matched against this lvl 30 Xerath botlane and thought oh no, I bet he's scripting, I'm gonna lose so hard--and then he just ran out of mana waveclearing, didn't really try to harass me, and was a total non-entity for the entire game--so who knows.
i mean the game in question ekko (as botlane) killed us 17 times with no deaths while taunting us in our own base, he was probably plat/diamond. wasn't really much to be done except wait for the game to end.
that was also the least kills he had in a game all day, he was usually over 30 kills on yasuo but someone banned him i think.
How many games is ranked placement I'm tired of people getting super mad over their rank which literally means nothing
I'm not doing blind pick because this game has zero flexibility
But I also recovered my account so I wanted to give it a week before going back to Dota and oh my god why is this community so mad all the time lmao

I just got matchmade with a blitz support who did not use any abilities for the first four levels or so. I don't know if he was having connection issues or griefing at being autofilled, but he wouldn't even farm minions for his support item. He just pathed randomly around the lane while the opposing support lux spammed E on me.

passive supports are the worst!
I much more enjoyed the Jhin/Senna lane tonight where we went super hard and uh also got doublekilled by the enemy jungler about a million times BUT we were on the same page wrt pushing to the tower and bullying the shit out of them (and not watching the map)
Ah also I'm trying to learn to play Zoe and she is SO HARD. I haven't had this much trouble mechanically in years. Positioning in team fights, also impossible, my stun is on such a high cooldown and only hits one person so I can't stand like Lux or Syndra, and then the ult is not an escape but it looks like an escape and god, it's just awful.
I'm also playing Neeko but she's quite easy. Although I also position differently with her, a lot more running in and out of the fight. I decided I really liked her voice lines though. They possibly originally annoyed me but now I find it pretty cute.

Personally, I'm in kind of a lull in regards to League for various reasons. That said, tons of news today:
Lillia looks pretty cool: a high-speed AP bruiser-ish jungler. A lot like Azerothian dryads + Neeko (+Scottish, I guess), however.
Spirit Blossom line includes a human Thresh!
Second block will include Yone, Cassiopeia, Kindred, and Riven (maybe / likely even patch after next?)--most of these are confirmed through Spirit Blossom Thresh VO, which clocks in at over 30 minutes (really this is the same dialogue in Collector / Human-ish voice, but still).
New confirmed prestige skins for the remaining of the year include Kai'sa (new skin) and Soraka (prestige version of older; my money's on Star Guardian or Reaper if I can hedge bets and pick two).

question for the ADC's: (im picking up Varus), is Ginsoo's an awful 1st item? Or BoRK rush?
Looking at probuilds.net, currently high elo players are building lethality Varus. It makes for some absolutely devastating Qs.
I like the build where you just attack crazy fast and shred people with something like bork-->guinsoo-->IE-->hurricane (...in some order, not sure which, but that's probably what I build?) However I trust that the high elo crowd knows what they are doing.

Guinsoos seems to be a second item on most of the champs that use it. I don't think I've ever seen it built first. My guess is the components to it aren't good enough to justify rushing

I'd guess there are a couple of reasons you'd get it after a bork: A bit of lifesteal is good for early game sustain, and it's hard to build up stacks if you don't already have some attack speed.

Thanks for announcing that! Adding to this, I've heard that you also need to win a game at that point, but I'm not sure if that's confirmed. Supposedly also it tracks your CS to ensure that you're getting it mostly through jungle camps. Grain of salt and all that, but it might be useful disclaiming information.
