Help me tie up some loose ends [knot question]

I put up some shade sails, which are basically just plastic triangles that you hang over your yard for shade. Anyways, long story short you tie each corner to an anchor point. The problem is they come with like 16 feet of chord on each corner, and I probably only need like 5 feet.
I could cut the extra but I’m not committed yet on the location and I’d hate to cut it short just to decide I want it somewhere that needs a longer section.
I could coil the remainder like they do on sailboats, but I feel like that calls too much attention since it is the only rope out there.
So what I’d like is some kind of decorative knot to tie the remainder back along the 5 feet I am using. But I can’t seem to figure out how to google for that.
So far I have only found something like the Australian braid knot. But because the loop end is part of the knot it seems like I would have to be really good to get it tied at exactly the length I want.
So yeah, I guess that’s it. Anyone familiar with knots, or just better at googling than me?

For the decorative knot. The cobra lanyard knot is fun.
I do like the monkey fist. I’ve only tied the 3x3, but now I’m thinking I should just keep nesting them until I’ve used up the rest. That would look way cooler than a coil.
