That's consistent with previous rumors. Makes sense that his priorities would vary based on perceived competence of the destination organization (though that doesn't explain why the Cowboys are on the list.)

Ownership is terrible, but stupid. The chance for a huge, roster crippling payday is high.

That’s a lot of stuff to trade for a player in a season where you probably won’t play any games because of a global pandemic

The flip side is that draft picks may be valued differently in a year where there’s no college football. Does that make a first round pick more or less valuable?

    Less.

I think it lessens the value of early picks but increases the value of later ones. More chaos means more opportunity for someone to fall

Woody Johnson is a moron. Way to help usher in Sam Darnold's demise quicker than expected.

And agreed 100% that Adams wanted the fuck out of that ship, ran by Jay "DOOOOONNN''TTT CAAARRREEEE" Cutler Horse whisper, Adam Gase . I'd play on a minimum salary to get out from playing under Gase myself.

Point of order- Darnold was always going to fail due to being a USC QB

I agree. Without a year of film, there’s ways less information to go on and nailing top picks will be harder and more prone to error. It makes me like this trade a bit more, especially with Adams not needing to be extended for a year.

On the off chance we actually have a 2020 season.

can you feel the struggle within?

Is this a meta joke or did Haisley milkshake duck

Also I’m thinking with a sub model, the potential for Dead Letters is greatly diminished :(

I just think he's a really bad writer. If you have a blank slate and choose to include him over someone else, I'm less inclined to bother with your site due to quality control issues.

  • Captain InertiaCaptain Inertia Registered User regular
It’s literally all the people who quit together last year, all as equal owners of the site. That’s the “gimmick” of the site, and true-to-form, they’re doing it as a show of how writers can band together to own their content and make a living off it, as a poke in the eye to the venture capitalists buying up properties and turning them into click farms.

Haisley definitely sucks and they would all say that too (it’s a running gag and why I asked), but he’s paid into it as much as Magary or anyone else.

  • Special KSpecial K Registered User regular
They are free to do whatever they want.

  • quovadis13quovadis13 Registered User regular
I mean, just dont ready Haisley's bad soccer and in particular VAR takes and you will be fine?

They really buried the lead, but WYTS will make its return there as well.

  • Captain InertiaCaptain Inertia Registered User regular
Sure are, I am also free to point out that including Haisley has nothing to do with quality control, and you’re free to ignore me cause this is a really silly thing for me to be upset about, ha

I got an alert on my phone that 3 dolphins players tested positive for covid. About to go to espn to try and find the details.

    Edit
The Dolphins have placed LS Blake Ferguson, CB Cordrea Tankersley and rookie DT Benito Jones on the reserve/COVID-19 list meaning they've either tested positive for COVID or been in close contact with someone who has.

They are fools if they play this season

I mean baseball has a team infected with covid and they are letting them play again I believe on wednesday. Bread and circus's must be obeyed.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Pretty soon, all professional sports will have to (insert Bugs Bunny Gif.) Florida, just to keep their other teams from dying.

I miss sports. I love my football. Im excited as hell about the dolphins future. I think more players should opt out. Its not worth the risk and its going to turn into an asterick season if it even finishes.

We have a plague going on, we can live without sports for a little bit.

The list is growing. 6 guys from the Patriots have opted out now, which is drawing some attention (and wild conspiracy theories, of course). Sounds like they've got at least a week yet to decide.

What sucks is for some guys they dont have a choice. If youve got a name and a good deal you can opt out. But a journeyman making the league minimum on a one year deal? Ya, that guy has no choice.

  • RickRudeRickRude Registered User regular
Like, it pisses me off that lebron, one of the people looked at as a leader in the league, was so big on restarting the season. If he was gonna opt out no way it restarts. The nba is actually doing this smart with yhe bubblr, and players have been reporting players that break the rules. All it takes is one case of covid though to turn that bubble into a plague bubble.

Belichick lives rent free in everyone's head but there's only so much he can do.

Ultimately it is hard for me to see the season even really happening unless there are major changes anyway. And that sucks
