38th must be Psychic-type. I just spent the past few hours playing Pokémon with my niece. She’s cleared the sixth gym and heading towards the seventh. I have a feeling she’ll be in postgame next week at the rate she’s going.
So I decided to do a little digging on the source material- figured it’s as good as any reason to watch the movie, so why not take an evening?
There’s actually a prequel series, and an epilogue series- but both are Netflix exclusives. The movie itself, on the other hand, is a bit more of a pain- it’s currently locked behind a Starz premium wall, so it’s either $8.99 for a month of Starz access or paying $3.99 to rent it for two days off Amazon. Go figure.

The day is off to a great start, ‘cause there’s nothing like powdered eggs and frozen waffles to get your morning off right. Thanks again to Gene for one last great breakfast! And how about those morning activities? I can already hear the sweet sounds of campers enjoying one last ride through the forests and fields of Camp Firewood. The Eagles are going to take one last trip down the river for some rafting, while the rest of us get to enjoy a morning in the summer sun. Meanwhile, my little drones tell me that they saw something shiny up in the sky. If you don’t look up, you might miss it!
And it seems like some of you are really taking advantage of this time to let some long-held animosity boil right up to the surface. It would be a real shame to leave Maine behind for the summer, while still holding on to unrequited grudges. While we here at WCFW would never condone violence, we also believe that you shouldn’t hold your feelings in. So let loose, Camp Firewood! Make your voices heard!

Day Two has begun! Day Two will end tomorrow at 2 PM EDT.
Beth is going into Waterville to pick up some light reading material. Victor and Neil will be taking the Eagles down to Devil’s Canyon Rapids, but any other counselors who want to go for a quick jaunt into town will need to let Beth know. She’ll just be there for about an hour, so you may not get much done. But it’s always fun to get away for a little bit.
