    Yes.

The new Marvel Mangaverse mini was a textbook case of a good artist being handcuffed to a god awful writer.

Kill off all the established cast? Sure! Why not!

Carol Danvers as Captain America? Why the fuck not?

The whole miniseries just made me go D:

I liked parts of Marvel Mangaverse, particularly the Skottie Young art. The first iteration was a fun diversion. I wasn't so attached to the concept that I saw anything that followed as a travesty, though.

Not the original, which to was my understanding just a parody of anime cliche ever.

The new one. I pretty much got it for the art but goddamn the story was horrible on every possible level.

So yeah, not holding out much hope for the Loners.

I just picked up a giant compilation of the first 18 issues, and I'm loving the series. The art, characters and writing have all astounded me, and I've only read the first third or so of it.

Kind of stupid too if he actually plans on sacrificing Nico since eliminating her from existence would significantly alter the history of the Runaways, possibly even making it so Alex wins.

He'd be better off icing a nun or something.

So either it's a terrible decision, it's obvious that he's going to try to con the Gibborim, or that's not really Chase.

By killing a nun nobody will miss?

The conclusion to series 1 would be completely rewritten if Nico was wiped from existence.

Well, since Gert [spoiler:81282db8db] is already dead[/spoiler:81282db8db] Future Gert's warning probably isn't valid anyways.

Couldn't Nico just wish for her staff to... reset all her spells?

And maybe she could carry a dozen dictionaries in different languages.

I think that Nico needs to get an upgrade to her powers sometime soon. She's eventually going to be useless.

Frankly, I think the staff of one might be more powerful than that. Nico just needs to learn how to use it. Notice that certain phrases also are spells.

I think my favorite was "Shine on, you crazy diamond"

However, keep in mind that it's not a matter of knowing more words. Similar ideas count as the same spell.

One of the things that most irritated me with the YA/Runaways crossover is that Wells blatantly used the VERY FIRST SPELL Nico used again.

    Nico's first spell was "FREEZE"

the spell she used in YA/Runaways was "CHILL OUT"

They had different effects and connotations, too. The first spell, she wanted them to actually stop. The second she wanted them to calm down.

Besides, it's been hinted that the staff of one can actually recast spells under the right circumstances (Alex used a spell that created the anti-Masjesdian chains on both Karolina's parents and Karolina). Perhaps Nico just got lucky.
