The [NFL] Shouldn’t Play Games but they will so we are going to talk about it.

I’m not even sure what to put in this OP.

I just saw Derrius Guice got arrested for domestic violence, was going to post about it and the old thread was closed so I made this.

It feels as bad and pointless as the NFL right now so I suppose it’s fitting.

Who will be out of the NFL first:
    Brady
    Brees
    Darnold

  • SorceSorce Not ThereRegistered User regular
I want to say Brady, but he'll play whatever games happen this year and that'll be it.

Then probably take a one-day contract with the Pats and retire.

    Watching Hard Knocks

It’s hilarious to see all these big, tough football players so scared to get a Q-Tip in their nose.

Don't worry, I'm sure the TV contract obligates the coaches to give an interview before halftime. Now it'll just involve a microphone on a 6 ft long stick and a reporter in the stands.

How will I know that the team that is losing hopes to shore up the gaps and play smart football??

And does anybody know if there's another season of All Or Nothing on the way? Hard Knocks is ok but that season long journey is always interesting to me.

Edit: apparently Tom Hardy is narrating a new one for a soccer club, will watch that just to listen to him

I actually have no idea how one even plays fantasy football.

Join the league and give it a go!

Players get points based on yards and td's. You have a limited roster you draft and can pick up players off the waiver wire that weren't drafted or got cut by other people.

The important thing to remember is that you need to draft a mix of players who get consistent points, players who can pop off for big numbers depending on who their team is playing, and most important of all - players whose teams will still be playing hard at the end of the season because their playoff spot is not secure (fantasy league playoffs usually happen in weeks 15-17)

And then you can watch all your great draft picks get injured, your diamonds in the rough start to coast as their teams either lock in a playoff spot or starts tanking for draft position, and you learn the joy of watching a game you don't care about yelling at a QB you hate to throw it to his WR3 that you picked up off the waiver wire because you forgot all your other WRs are on a bye week.

    Fantasy! Football!

Should I aim for players with high stats or ones that know endgame spells

High stats win games, endgame spells win championships

The one time I took the season championship I scraped and clawed my way through the middle of the pack to make it to the final against a behemoth with an almost perfect record. My only hope of keeping it close was that the monster team had some big guns that were probably only going to play 3 quarters and would be under their season average, but I doubted it would be enough - and by the end of the day Sunday, Week 16 2003 it wasn't. I was way behind in points with only my QB Brett Favre left to play on MNF. Against the Raiders. After Brett's father had just passed away.

Brett threw for 4 TDs and 400 yards and carried my team over the finish line

I'd like to see KC try to stop a stadium full of drunken morons from doing the chop.

  • RingoRingo He/Him a distinct lack of substanceRegistered User regular
I don't know about KC specifically, but other places have managed it by banning it and no longer playing the music people usually associate with the chop.

Of course that will fail as soon as the White House tweets about it and people do it out of conservative spite

Just do the all Bama team. Ingram, Henry, Jacobs, Julio, Ridley and Ruggs

Damn, that would be a really solid skill lineup

Julio Jones definitely knows all the spells and uses them for 9999 damage on the reg...the question is if he plays all the games or gets sidelined cause you want to experiment with “blue magic”

Just remember if you use Jameis Winston he automatically has the Confused status so he's equally likely to throw to either team on the field.
