The Spirit looks good. I love Darwyn Cook's art

And I love the Batman look in S/B: Aliens & Predators

i might pick it up even though i know shit about Aliens or Predators

Wait, why is a man who can punch the moon out of orbit afraid of Aliens OR Predators?

Same way Batman will somehow help him with it?

Superman can lose his powers guys

It's what happened in the first Superman vs Aliens miniseries

Which was pretty good, Mullet Superman aside.

Legacy and all that I suppose due to their connections to the original Atom. That's my take on it.

On another note, here's an article on the What If special based on Deadly Genesis, along with some textless preview pages.

Yeah, if he wants the current line-up to reflect the original's then I suppose it would make sense to draw visual parallels between Atom and his successor.

Personally, I prefer Elseworlds to What If?. I'd rather see the X-Men as cowboys then the X-Men getting killed for the billionth time because somebody didn't marry somebody else.

Deadly Genesis is probably the only Brubaker book that I've ever completely disliked, but this What If? sounds pretty good. I've enjoyed them all so far - it'd be nice if the series went monthly again.

You guys know how Munch is always "ololz Ted Kord"? Or Sars_Boy is "ololz Young Justice"..or even Keith with his "ololz man-cock"?

    Im like "ololz JSofA"

I can't wait for Wednesday to get here. Awesome book, and I haven't even read it yet.

    Geoff Johns..check.

    Dale Eaglesham's awesome pencils..check.

Alex Ross covers and design input...check.

I made the mistake of reading some of the Newsarama user comments..I loved this little gem...
"Now who's crying like a bitch?"... thus, the last nail is entered into the coffin of my love of the DCU. I'd given up on most of the books, because they weren't the type of thing I wanted from the DC heroes. This single panel just proves that they probably never will be again. Not until there is a purging of the editorial and creative minds fouling the DCU.

    Later,
    - Bill

the art is good, but not to my tastes, so I probably won't pick this up. I prefer things that do not look so realistic. It was cool to see a super-strength street level fight though.

Keith why are you selling those games in your sig?

3/4 of them are so good.

Also, Damage's cotume looks way better when Alex Ross is not drawing it.

No offense to Mr. Ross or Karma, it just doesn't suit his style.

What are some good JSA stories that are fairly recent? Preferably involving Hourman.

If you'd like to enjoy some of the more recent and easily acquirable Hourman/men good times, I'd suggest JSA Classified #17 and #18, or JSA #65 and #66. And of course, the Hourman "Android" series spun off from JLA, which was featured in an earlier thread.

    Man, I love me sometimes.

Also, previous to #65 and #66, during the Black Reign arc, Rick and Rex are swapped out, so you've got the old school action there. Basically, most of JSA was great. Right after #65 and #66 you've got the Degaton "JSA/JSA" arc, followed by the Day of Vengeance crossover arc, and then it ends with some Gentleman Ghost.

JSA Classified #1-4 had the awesome Amanda Conner Powergirl story, followed by a little Jay Garrick / Wildcat teamup. Great stuff all around.

Kind of an unimpressive opening. I'm assuming that there'll be flashbacks to whatever broke him since the covers show him younger than he appears in the preview.

If you dig old school Rex Tyler, Hourman #5 is a pretty great issue. Rick shows up in the middle of the series, too, but he's in his lame-o Infinity Inc. costume.

The JSA Classified arc that Karma mentions is the shit, as is the Per Degaton story.

Hourman is criminally underused. At the very least, they should toss Bedard (who wrote the JSAC story) a Rick/Jessie miniseries in the near future. They are the best married power duo in the DCU since Sportsmaster and Huntress.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, New Movie Trailer:

Really low-res, but I cant find a bigger one yet.

I never really liked the cartoon series, but loved the first movie and the comics books. This looks like a good hybrid of all 3 - I'm looking forward to it.
