The only thing I hold against fire brand is pretending his loops where some not as boring as zero, zero at least had to do a incoming mix up firebrand didn't
It's kind of weird to me that Marvel & DC have had actual crossover comics, but as far as I can recall, have never had a crossover game.
Let me tell you about this little game called Fortnite.
I'm pretty sure there's also a Lego game that crosses over their versions of the two IPs with a bunch of other stuff as well. Neither that nor Fortnite is really gonna scratch that itch. It's like having the skins for Minecraft or Quake mods. Like, the Lego games are good, but I play them when I want to play a Lego game with my nephew, not when I want to play as Spider-Man or Batman.
To be honest though, I was mostly thinking in terms of fighting games, given how many different crossover fighting games there are. Just off the top of my head: King of Fighters, MvsC, Smash Bros, Soul Calibur games usually have crossovers, CvsSNK, Playstation All-Stars, that MK & DC stuff, SFxT, Shonen Jump crossover games, Blaz Blue Cross Tag Battle, that indie-centric smash bros knock-off I can never remember the name of.
Queue Skullomania speculation for last DLC character. But I distinctly remember an interview with Ono with an offhand question of "Skullomania as DLC?" and Ono stammering a "Wha? Huh? ... maybe somewhere down the line... like 2020."
Power Rangers confirmed what everyone knew from the silhouette in the season trailer, but Scorpina will be the next DLC fighter and is releasing Dec. 8th.

Not gonna lie whenever something has "eSports" attached I always think about a bunch of fake hype.
But this is probably also the only way they could make a new Virtua Fighter so...I dunno.
I'm very excited to play VF again, but I'm not sure what this eSports branding could possibly mean. That the online won't be total garbage out of the gate?

I assume they're just going to re-release the last VF on PS5 and have some Japan-only tournament. Maybe add like two characters from a previous game that didn't make it in.

They said reboot so I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a whole new title.

[extreme laughter, almost unable to breath]
Ah, I see you've played VF online before.
No exaggeration, VF5 vanilla was the most inconvenient online fighter I've ever played. You had to quit all the way back out to the main menu in order to change characters. Very SFV-on-launch vibes, but at least they had the excuse that it was 2007.

Fuck yeah give Marvel to Arcsys that could be extremely cool.

and their movesets are all absurdly customizable

i want one so bad but I'm trying to adopt a cat right now and that is more important
I would take it, but also would prefer a new game.

DC vs DBZ: play out the dumb "Goku vs Superman" argument.
Marvel vs [either One Piece, or Hunter x Hunter]: both seem to do better at having varied power sets than the above.
Also KoF '98. The best one!
oh i wanna get in on this
Edit: mobile interface not great, trying again
I guess mine says I like Jack of all trades characters who do a bit of everything.

It’s going to have an esports focus
Hmm yes, that looks like An Esports.
