This forum has a strange and terrible power to convert people into militant queer leftists

10 years ago I could have sworn blind I was straight and that debate and voting would save the world

Back in the early 00s we used to do "a forum wallpaper" this one was done by Juan! I believe and features many of the early se++ crew.

I kinda loved the forum battles also just for the absurdity of the insane amounts of talent being used just to slapfight forumers and be seen by a couple dozen people. Like, more effort would go into some of those 1-2 minute videos than some AAA movies get

My entries into the forums battles have airways been awful because I always try to write something and it just doesn't work as well

Oh for sure I was never popular enough to really be included and I remember as a kid that felt really awful. I'm a lot happier with what the community grew to be than I am nostalgic for the old times.

I do like to look back and laugh at all the good times. Like those few months I was permabanned.

Yeah I knew this as an Open Field.

I don't really think it was ever meant to be exclusionary, I think I only made it into one.

  • MorivethMoriveth BREAKDOWN BREAKDOWN BREAKDOWN BREAKDOWNRegistered User regular
I could see it as feeling exclusionary if you are someone who feels like they contribute a lot and aren't included, I guess.

I think I made it into one, but it was one of the last ones

I will go to PAX again some day and bring my aggressively regular spouse and we’ll play board games all day and go to fancy dinner.

I brought my now wife down for pax after we'd been dating a year and it was...

    Bad.

I knew everybody and she knew nobody, she didn't care about all the things I wanted to do and our accommodation sucked. It didn't make us almost break up or anything, but boy did we have a bad time.

I wouldn’t say not do this necessarily, Veldrin brought down his wife to AusPAX and she knew no one to begin with and now we all know that she is a cool person.

Yeah she had such a great time with you all and feels super comfortable on PAX trips now!

It's a bonus for me, because she's far more socially energetic than I am, so she's great at being buffer for me when I just need to zone out in the group for a bit.

Cause where else am I ever going to post it, here is my gunbound story: A far underage Quantum somehow ended up having cyber sex (all text based) in a gunbound game. We did not use the pm function if there was one. Just two horny ...presumably younger people, putting on their robes and wizard hats, while shooting some cannons. No one else was happy about it. It's hard to make a story of but was just so singularly weird and horny looking back on it.

With my sin thus exposed, I may finally rest.

In an almost entirely unrelated story, in City of Heroes/City of Villains some of us would interrupt erotic RP by putting on one of the Earth Armor auras that sounds vaguely like somebody having a real bad time on the toilet.

one time I interrupted a furry wedding in the interdimensional night club by walking in the middle and self-destructing a robot

Hell yea brother, I accidentally landed my Superjump on the head of a bride in the middle of the Ski Challet. We ended up sticking around and were the only audience they had for it.

Mine lives in a drawer with my football jerseys (I might have more than I really need). It probably gets pulled out every 1-2 years, when I really feel like wearing it. Sometimes I even play football in it!
