honestly graphic design aside I see what they're getting at, it's this weird combination of eight different theories on story structure and showing how they all overlay with one another
I don't quite see the utility of it but it's not designed to be something to follow to the letter, I don't think

I'm fairly sure it was made to purposefully be terrible as a joke.

Yeah I think it is really cool to see how differently people have interpreted/written about a core story structure that is largely intuitive and being able to compare and contrast them.
Like, Hero's Journey stories (or fairy tales, or whatever) aren't something that was codified prescriptively, the work that Campbell did to define their structure was descriptive, trying to show how all of these stories from all of these different origins were fundamentally similar. It all stems from just... the way we tell stories, as a widespread cross-cultural tradition. Telling a story is something that you can learn to do better, but it's something you know a bit about from the get go.
So overlaying them all like that makes for a really interesting comparative work - we can see how Campbell's religion background influenced his nomenclature compared to like, screenwriting ideas that focus very specifically on working for film and television with Snyder's system, and so on and so forth.
I get that it's made as a joke, but I feel like if you dug up Joseph Campbell and showed it to him he'd fucking love it. It's the same work that he did, applied to the work that he did.

No the forum has driven the Ansel Adams thing into the ground at this point, the joke is better without it.
Yeah, it started out simply enough. A little runner that would pop up every couple of months, totally harmless.
But then the reputation around the joke outpaced the humor of the joke itself. Began to strangle what was once simple and pure.
Ansel culture culture is really out of control.

If you are directing a movie about your life, doesn’t that make it an autobiopic?
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Only if it's about your life as a whole. If it's about a specific time in your life, it's a memoirpic.

I am sitting near a table where two men are having a conversation. One is in the middle of a divorce settlement and mentioned his nuts getting treated like Daniel Craig.
The other guy didn't get the reference, so now the first guy has been describing/acting out the Casino Royale testicle torture scene with great relish for the last five minutes.
Gotta say, all things considered, his Mads impression isn't half bad.

I've been working on a Mads impression for a DnD character
