Evolution creates a pan-existential crisis as it reveals that everything we are and believe in has a finite lifespan, which includes our concept of morality
Marty: The future, it's where you're going? Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.
I haven't read K6BD from the beginning, I only caught bits and pieces when they were posted here. I only started keeping current around that treasure vault arc.
Evolution creates a pan-existential crisis as it reveals that everything we are and believe in has a finite lifespan, which includes our concept of morality
It's only an existential crisis if you're terrified of you and everything around you being limited in space and time. For me, it's a relief. I am not upheld to some immortal standard, just the expectations of people around me and the genetic and social heritage. I wasn't here before I was born, I will live, I will not be here once I'm gone. Compared to "God judges you for infinity" that's not a lot of pressure. Being a good person promotes a so far successful survival strategy for my species, but that's it.

Wait, does this argument mean that God doesn't have any morals?
Technically God imposes his morality on others
God: Thou shalt not kill.
Also God: This guy touched my special box so I'm going to massacre your entire nation with plague. This is after I already struck him dead.

Some people really like the idea of legacies. Immortality is a shared cultural fantasy. Part of it may be because an irrational fear of death is also beneficial to survival. It may be that dogmatic rejection of the concept of evolutionary senescence is itself an evolutionary adaptation.

Genghis Khan: Divert a river and remove all traces of their homes
Regardless of religious preference, the absence of a moral center is likely a lot more common than we realize; it's just that people with a bit of common sense know not to talk about that stuff in public. Any activity like an institutional belief system where you're encouraged to opine about morality increases the risk of accidental exposure
Frankly I think this is untrue and your whole super detached shtick is clouding your judgment.

No. Anything God does is moral, because God is the one doing it.
But he doesn't have to fear any kind of divine punishment, and he can't receive any kind of divine reward.
Geez, no wonder he let everything go to shit.
Look, sometimes you got kill a lotta people for the greater good. Except this time, its not ethnic or religious minorities, like we've killed before, but all those french bastards who haven't defected with their ships to us or Hitler.
