Hi! I'm bi!
Does anyone have recommendations for one of those subtle bi flag colored artworks I see on Twitter occasionally? I want to decorate my cubicle a little.
I honestly think I only do these Day of Visibility things in the hopes that I'll get to start some juicy drama with the last three people from my Churchin' days who still follow me on Twitter.
Realizing lately that I don't really trust or respect basically any of the moderators here. So, good luck with life, friends! Hit me up on Twitter @DesertLeviathan

And the awesome socks @Vee : ))
Had a bit of a rough coming out with one friend...
"I'm bi"
"I support you 100%, it's great that you're on a journey exploring your sexuality"
"What?"
"You could be gay, you could be straight, who knows? You do you!"
"What? No! I'm bi. I've had boyfriends and girlfriends - you've met most of them!"
"And that's great. Everyone has an exploration phase"
X )
I think I understand why we need Bi visibility day now...

Also late but I figure it's a good time to repost some of my favourite jewelry:
And my newish computer rig which of course led to me downloading a BIOS addon to control the LED lighting on the fans to specifically light up in the Bi flag colours.

Choosing new pronouns is a hard thing. I don't want to go by they/them or any plural term, but I also don't want to hold on to the masculine terms.

My agender friend likes the spivak pronouns ((e or ey)/em/eir) but I will warn it is really very difficult to get anyone to adopt them in speech (because there is some uncertainty with if they're singular or plural/how they're pronounced/because no one is used to them). In writing they're very easy to use though so you could at the very least try them out here if you wanted to!

Though also don't feel like things have to instantly make you happy. When I was first starting to figure myself out things which I was pretty sure I wanted to do, when I did them, didn't make me happy. Sometimes they made me feel really bad. But they were still the right thing to do, and if making myself happy was my only objective I would not have made the progress I have. Shit's complicated and brains are weird.
I remain pretty weirded out when people at work casually refer to me using male pronouns
Like it’s not bad it’s like uh wait who, me? (This effect is less pronounced in purely social settings because?? Brains??)
Idk if I’ll ever get used to it or if it’s a sign that I really would just rather use they pronouns (which is what I use for myself) but don’t want to implement it, both because I am not interested in people thinking that my gender identity is important/nonstandard/etc, and because I need people to perceive me as male first and non-binary second if at all. Basically ideally someone would perceive me as nb but amab, you know? But also it would be totally normalized to be nb so it was never a conversation. But since that isn’t quite viable, we’re going for male because good enough I suppose

It is V-Day + 8 and I was just given the all clear to check out of the surgical recovery center tomorrow. I am so excited to get back home and to see my wife in person.

Today is 12 weeks since I had top surgery. Also just over a year since I switched to more effective hormones. Can highly recommend both, 5 stars.
I keep thinking back to 13 year old me who wished I would get cancer so I could get my breasts removed, with no awareness or even curiosity about why I felt that. Poor dumb kid.

Would it help at all if I say your hair is gorgeous and I'd give a million bucks to have hair like that?

Thanks for the compliment on my hair. I'm not going ahead with the chest surgery, for such a small amount of breast tissue I'd basically be trading off a tiny bulge for a mangled mass of scar tissue.
Edit: also I'm so hyped for eventually having hair that gets long enough to have tangles.

And or pan.
But definitely not straight.

You don't have to figure out everything all at once, up front.

Extra bemusing because I consider myself asexual. But there's not really the language to define what I mean. It's kind of a Janson Situation I guess
Yeah Janson, I just created a phenomenon named after you. Deal with it
