Hmm not in the top 10 directors for money though. I'm a little surprised at that. But then again while he has made successful films he hasn't made a lot of them.
Also, from reading the twitter thread from the tweet about it all. There are new super heroes that weren’t put in and had been cut, that are now being shot. who? Where? Who knows.

I would say that his subject matter makes money.

Until this YouTube title I always thought he was visiting his brother in this scene. Ellis being his cousin makes the "your granddad..." line make a little more sense.

He managed to make a batman and superman movie that made so much less money than a batman or superman movie should make.
Kevin Smith came out of it and said "that was joyless" and you could film a action figure for 2 hours and Kevin smith would give it a positive review.

Did anyone else see that video the guys from cinemasins made when it was announced Civil war and the BvS were coming out on the same weekend? It’s hysterical in retrospect.

Cinemasins is consistently wrong about just about everything.

speaking of henry cavill, I watched Enola Holmes
I liked it, emotional beats don't totally land but millie bobby brown is charming and henry cavill brings a really interesting Sherlock portrayal to the table

I watched it last night and I think I agree with all of that. It was fine overall but Brown is excellent. I would have liked to see more Cavill but I understand not wanting it to become an actual Sherlock Holmes movie.

I enjoyed Enola Holmes but i was a little bothered that they never really addressed the central question of the narrative.
Namely, what exactly was Mom up to?
They danced around it but they never came out and said

and his one original property (Sucker Punch) was a flop (both critical and financial)
Wonder Woman made more money than Man of Steel
Aquaman made more money than Batman v Superman
Sucker Punch was an abomination

Nobody said Hollywood execs were smart.
In fact, I’m fairly certain that people dunk on those slackjawed bean counters pretty on the regular.

It's weird to see all the cut and not used parts of that movie

There's joy in Honest Trailers?
also Danielle Radford is a writer for that channel, she's a pretty cool comedian

More fascinated in his performance, the fact that he made those choices, the bonkers delivery of “EMPLOYER” in that scene

There's joy in Honest Trailers?
And the jokes. And the writing.
The Kong director really showed them up there, and I will admit to finding joy in that

Cavill is good, Brown is good. A few fun uses of talking to camera (the 'hang on a sec' move on the train).
It won't set your world on fire, but it's an above average Netflix movie.
As a rule of thumb, no
I do enjoy Bobvids' and Shaun's anti-Cinemasins videos
