On the bright side Blizzard are a lot more receptive to class feedback this time. They're receptive to covenant feedback too, just not the feedback about pulling ripcords....
I have options for Shadowlands. I have my mage which I’ll definitely level and do a ton of stuff on, but I have enough level boosts that I’m willing to use one on something we need.
Plays whats fun. My biggest fear is that I want to tank and I'm sure we'll have other tanks so maybe I'll need to go DPS again and hopefully not suck ass this time
marksman hunter obviously also really looking forward to 9.3 when they give up on the bad covenant choice decisions, the game will be good then maybe except for M+ sucking ass
The real play was to pick a class and covenant at the very beginning based on something that couldnt change (like tmog) and just stick to it and ignore everything else.

Yeah thats why I think I'm going to do Necrolords. I like their armor for a warrior and the banner ability seems useful.
I really like the Night Fae plate armor though.
I think all the mail looks like hunter gear at best so my shaman is going to be whatever.
It would be pretty weird to have it this week with like 1 day or less of warning. It's more likely going to be the following week, or even the week after that. Short prepatches have happened previously (edit: actually I appear to be wrong, seems that this will be the shortest prepatch ever).

For the people who have played the beta, how does this expansion feel compared to BfA?
I got kinda bored of BfA and dropped out a bit after the Dazar'alor raid came out. Popped my head back in once or twice since then, but never for very long.
I'm reading up on some of the new stuff like covenants, but trying to decide if I want to give the game another shot.

Covenants seem cool but remain incredibly imbalanced, and I doubt they're going to sufficiently correct that prior to launch, though I could be wrong. If I'm right though, this is going to make choosing an covenant early in the expansion extremely fraught, as if they don't manage to balance prior to launch, they're most certainly going to try after.
The Maw looks incredibly boring. It's Argus but instead of green and grey, it's red and grey. The other areas look pretty cool though.
The story is fine, and seeing all these new people we've never met before is good, but the same 'Oh, a mortal? how odd!' gets boring pretty quick. The hub city has you take a tour of the place when you arrive, and every interaction points out the same. 'Hello mortal! We have heard your kind has need of a place to keep your belongings. We have been told these are called...banks?' Repeat ad nauseum.
I have no idea what latinum is, but 7 seems like a lot.
I mean back in my day I could put a dollar in the vending machine and get a root beer and that root beer traveled through the vending machine uphill both ways in the snow.

Well they aren't going to introduce any wild one-shots or the kind of effects that stacking certain corruptions might get.
Folks will just probably have to pick the "best" one for their class and that kind of sucks.
I’ll chat with ya this weekend about it.
it honestly feels like this was their release date goal before the pandemic and it did not move

Its like a month out and they had it downloading in the background. It would be weird to not have it this week

Only gold-pressed latinum is accepted at this establishment!
Now to spend hours trying to remember what all addons I used to use and get my UI set up again.
