Nasage anyone tried it and does it work?

I have no clue where to even put this. I thought about asking it in chat, but figured it'd just get over looked. Dnd? Doesn't seem right. Help and advice? Maybe?

I have a deviated septum, I am constantly both blowing and picking at my nose because of it. A small little booger will clog my whole nose. Sleeping is a night of me tossing and turning clogging one nose, turning to switch clogged noses, and life just sucks. I didn't even realize it was a thing until I was 33. Thought everyone dealt with this.

So basically I have sinus problems.

Has anyone one in a similar boat tried the nasage? I've tried netti pots, the compressed bottles of nasal solution you out through your nose. The name escapes me right now. Saline? Think that's it. But with my deviated septum it doesn't really flush things out. Just kind of trickles out my other nose.

Anyways not even sure in posting in the right place. Just curious if anyone has tried anybody these machines and had positive results.

    She said one otc medicine could help but I haven't had it totally looked at. I know surgery is an option but don't want to go that way if possible. She recommended flonase if I'm right.

    Do the one your doctor suggested, report back to her on her success, and don't rely on the internet as a replacement for an actual doctor's opinion! I totally get the curiosity and wanting external validation when doing these things, but even anecdotal evidence that's positive or negative won't be particularly helpful here compared to following a specifically medical regimen.

    Do the thing your doctor recommended you do. If it doesn't work then you have more information than you had before.

    FWIW, Flonase really helps my husband when he has trouble sleeping without snoring. It doesn't work for everything though, and for my son it was part of the process of elimination that confirmed his tonsils were the problem.

    And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

    My wife got a septoplasty last year. It helped, even when her nose was still swollen from the surgery. That said, it was a lot of recovery time and a lot of money.

    some time ago I had allergy problems where I was having a very hard time breathing in a manner similar to what you describe

    a doctor prescribed me xyzal+flonase and it changed my life

    i dont take it anymore because the allergy problem is gone, but for those couple of years I went from having real breathing trouble to absolutely no trouble at all

    flonase itself will expand the airway so that it takes more gunk to obstruct your breathing, which at least will help you get through the nights

    Fluticasone and Azelastine sprays have been a lifesaver for me as far as sinus nonsense goes. Budesione delivered via neti spray worked OK for a bit, but those other drugs are game changers. Only use them as needed now.

    Anyone have any advice for dry nostrils?

    The moment humidity dips it seems like my nose turns into a desert hellscape >_<

    Saline sprays work pretty good. When I used to get really bad winter bloody noses. I would a little neosporn, and that works great but smells not great. If you are going to use neosporn, a little dab will do you.

    When did you last go to a dentist? It seems slightly counter intuitive at first, but it has helped me greatly in the past. In short I had a situation similar to your where one side of my nose or the other was always clogged. I finally had my upper wisdom teeth removed a few years ago and the same day I was able to breathe fully again for the first time in I don't even remember how long. They can cause swelling in the sinus cavity or some such? Just something to look into if the other recommendations don't work out for you.

    I don't have a diagnosed deviated septum to the best of my knowledge either. I don't have any reason to believe I do either. The switching from one side to the other though is very familiar to me so I thought I would toss this out there to be considered.

    Yeah I finally took care of some relatively slight orthodontic issues I'd written off as frivolous a number of years ago and my periodic neck pain went away. They were so slight I never thought they'd be enough to cause a problem. My dentist shrugged.

    I was in the navy so they pulled those suckers first chance they got. Still one of the worst experiences in my life. I couldn't feel anything thanks to the novacaine, but all I had was a blindfold. I could feel the blood rushing when they cut into my gums, could hear and feel the pressure of them cracking teeth and pulling them out.

    I didn't feel any pain, but it was still horrible.
