breaking bad was alright at 5 seasons if a bit goofy at parts, but they mostly knew the story beats as it was unfolding
whereas lost had no idea what to do with itself and was a clusterfuck after season 2
or the walking dead, whose plan is literally to keep shitting out seasons until people stop watching
Breaking Bad was planned out.
LOST was a victim of JJ Abrahms "mystery without a resolution" bullshit and general network fuckery wanting to milk the story for all its worth. The actual writer for LOST has put out 2 pretty good series since, both have been limited in runs.
Walking Dead is horrific.

1) I only watched Dexter for Doakes.
2) Chanus if it's a work only laptop 8gb might last but I wouldn't want to go less than 16 if you want to be using it for anything else because RAM is something all the OSes are consuming much more than they should nowadays.

But don't blame me if it's not. Huge drawback of the macbooks is you can't add more RAM later.
I would again preface this by saying it will likely be plenty, unless the Mac ARM emulation ends up being way more heavy than expected.
I wouldn't spend that much on 8 GB of RAM these days, 16 bare minimum.
