It's a shame that fight is so offputting. I've been loving the DLC fights to date. It's basically a series of areas with swarms of baddies warping in. Sort of reminiscent of the old 'Spiderant Hell' from BL1. I've been digging it.
All the bosses are spongey as hell but the last boss is the worst of them and drops nothing.

I'm finally getting back into the games after the main story soured me on the franchise at launch.
I did a quick playthrough of the final BL2 DLC, as I was missing some achievements from it. While not great, it was a decent sendoff to that game.
I played through the first BL3 DLC, the Casino one. It was fine, but underwhelming, with uninteresting characters. The setting, especially given the characters involved, felt like a dull retread of the Pre-Sequel's Helios sections.
I just finished up the next DLC, the Hammerlock marriage, and wow was that one excellent. Great characters, great setting, great style. They nailed the Lovecraftian vibe.
You are really selling my sticking out this DLC instead of dropping it and going to try Hades.
Eh just drop it to M1 and beat it. The ending is nice at least. Once crossplay comes out Im probably hacking a bunch of the guns on PC version which Ill happily hand out to you guys

I would kill for a feature like in Nioh where you can set the game to auto-sell drops below a certain rarity. And it would be nice to 'tag' any other guns on the ground for sale, or breakdown for materials to feed into some kind of gun crafting system.
I'm guessing it's gonna be a Roguelike mode where you start from shit and end a run with good guns, and then have to start your next run with nothing again.
I think it's a good concept for a game. I'm not sure it'll really catch on in Borderlands. I've been conditioned by the many failures over the years to suspect games that release alternate modes that try and appeal to fans of other genres.
I'm also not convinced this'll work out when a lot of character builds require very specific drops to make viable. So generalist builds that rely on skills rather than specific guns could end up dominating.
Or I could be wrong and this'll not be a roguelike mode. But it sure sounds that way.
Like most legendary mods for Zane got touched. Except the one I use, the Shockerator. I even tweeted at the combat design guy a few weeks ago and mentioned that it might be a good idea to examine the nova the Binary System augment does, and have it adjust to Mayhem difficulty like shield novas do now. And he gave me a heart! HE GAVE ME A HEAAAART.
I guess the mod got an indirect buff by Duct Tape Mod's cooldown being halved, but jeez.
Got a fearmonger with a neat terror annoint for Zane. 100 percent lifesteal on the drone while terrified. I havent seen one sheild or grenade that inflicts terror yet.
Also all my Haunt Loot fell into the pit so thats fun

Season pass 2. Poorly named to include the developers cut which is the new mode and trees and the dirctors cut which I can only assume is new story content added to the base game and traditional raid bosses. I assune because they wont say yet

Got back to this after not playing it for a while, still working through the story.
I've been playing as Zane, and sticking with two abilities instead of abilities and grenades, but of course there's those upgrades that make your abilities throw grenades in some way so I'm still getting use out of my grenade mods. But it's kind of funny because like, since I'm not using the grenades myself, it makes it a bit harder to get a feel for what they do, especially the weirder ones. There'll just be some weird bullshit on the battlefield and I'm trying to figure out what's the enemy type that's been doing that, and eventually I clue into "oh that's the grenades my drone is dropping." I actually got a yellow grenade mod from this halloween event. No idea what it actually does, but it has this VFX with a bunch of those skeleton ghost heads, and I spent a while trying to figure out why sometimes ghosts spawned that I couldn't shoot and just disappeared after a few seconds.

The fantastic flustercuck is really good too. That and the hammerlock one are the best of the DLC so far.
I'd prefer more hunters, but s'not a dealbreaker, especially if it gives their team more time to work on other stuff like the balancing hotfixes they've been doing lately.
Honestly, given just how little characterization the vault hunters actually get I’m surprised they didn’t give us more from the start. Unless balancing all of the skill trees is a limiting factor during development.

Voice acting costs probably didnt help. They all speak much more now.

A handful of lines hardly strikes me as a significant cost for any AAA title. Especially since the vault hunters come across as NPCs rather than protagonists.

Game development is one of those thing where whenever someone says that something will be quick, cheap, and easy, I'm pretty sure they're wrong.

Also gearbox is historically bad about VA relations

FTFY.
I think the actual people working there are great. The management is awful for sure

I am honestly infuriated they wont just fucking tell us what the mode is. The trees I get the slow reveal on but this is what you hope will keep us playing for another year tell us already and give details later

The gametype name brings to mind old-school CS/Killing Floor/etc., where you have to do well in a round to earn cash to buy better weapons to do well in a round, and so on.

No descriptions yet, but they've all got a Grim Reaper as the picture so they're maybe-probably connected to the upcoming event.
Terror annointments and the event weapons have all been buffed

My biggest issue is with Fl4k and how his pets are kinda pointless compared to others', and how he has the durability of wet tissue paper.
