Just beat ol' dad with Chiron Bow on 32 heat for the first time.

Then I did a nice leisurely 10 heat with the gloves. Man, what a relief it is to come down from that high heat.

For the people who have cleared 32 Heat, did you work your way up there one Heat at a time? And if not, what was the highest heat you did before going to 32?

If he teleported I didn't notice. I was dashing across the pit, stabbing him and his entourage with the spear, dashing back across, more stabs, dash, etc. It never touched me.

Nah, I didn't go through the prior 31 heat levels to get to 32. Highest I'd done was probably 20.

I've noticed a glaring absence among the cast, one that I must assume has a plot reason because no way could they be left out by accident.
    Where is Apollo?

By the way if there is a plot reason please don't actually tell me what it is, just that it is plot related.

No it's a really weird omission

He's one of four Olympians omitted - my hope is for an expansion or something that fills them in

It also fits with how some of the others pop up
Demeter only becomes aware of you after you make it to the surface and feel the winter - when you do see the sun, it's through Persephone's power over her garden, not Apollo, so I guess he never reaches you. He's mentioned in one of the descriptions of the improvements too I think so it's not like he doesn't exist.

Technically she's talking about Helios there - while Apollo is also god of the sun (and that became increasingly his primary role as time went on), he's the god of medicine and music and archery as well.

I don't think Supergiant has ever done expansions or DLC before, but they've never done a release like Hades to the best of my knowledge so who knows

Hestia is @SilverWind 's favourite Olympian, and it would be cool to see her added to the game in some capacity in future

There is at least one instance of her specifically calling Apollo a ding dong

I think I jumped to 32 from 16? Which is the next statue level down. Before that, I was around 8-10. The main thing is I just stacked up a whole bunch of things that weren't taking more damage or losing healing, so it felt less like a difficulty spike and more like a whole pile of annoyances.

My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.

Is there any reason to jump that high in Heat? Since incrementing one at a time is enough to open the blood/diamond/ambrosia rewards again.

32 heat is just for fun and a cosmetic thing really.

I've been making it a goal while unlocking the Epilogue to get a 32 heat win on all weapons. I won with my 4th weapon, the gun Exagryph, yesterday! Absolutely bonkers build with Secret Aspect.

Alls left is Shield and Bow... my least favorite.

even without your call gauge maxed out it is still very funny to have them both shouting Darkness at each other

I wish I was playing on pc so I could record my like 20 second kill of bull/spear guy. Check this dumb build:

    Aphrodite's Aid Lvl3 for 7.5 second charm
Smoldering air (god gauge capped at 1 but gains 1% every 0.2 seconds)
Clouded Judgement (dealing /taking damage charges god gauge faster)
Then the rest is just 4 dashes, zues lighting dash, and fists with Zeus lihhtning and jolted for hella gauge generation.

Basically kept one of them charmed the whole time stacked on eachother while I luightning'd them both down.

My only issue with the poison is that I'm an idiot that never thinks to check where the poison pots are when I enter a room so when I get poisoned I immediately go into full panic mode and frantically search the screen for the cure despite the fact that I'm almost always standing right near one.

Dealing with poison the easy way:
Take the Broken Spearpoint keepsake. (The one that gives you a brief period if invincibility when you take damage.)

One tick of damage from poison is enough to activate it, and it gives you enough time to go and cure it before it wears off. It also helps against the small but continuous damage of all the lasers and swarms of rats. It makes 95% of the rooms in Styx super easy.

    Late/Endgame Trinket Question
Am I misunderstanding something about Hades' trinket? It doesn't seem particularly useful. I hit it once and turn invisible, then I almost instantly reappear and everything starts coming after me again. Can you dodge/avoid certain damage while invisible?

gets rid of poison and a few other effects on you. You can't get targetted, so i'm p sure i've used it for invincibility from certain attacks. It does require some pretty tight timing tho.

I find it super useful, but i'm way more into the free level ups that i rarely, if ever, take it.

Yeah, the other endgame trinket is so insanely powerful that this one doesn't even seem to compare. Though I guess it depends on the boons you have and how good they were, and if you plan to clear all the side rooms in Styx.

I only cleared it on five heat but it seemed pretty straightforward. The Attack has really high base damage and the Special is a huge damage buff. Just put something like Hangover on the special and high % damage on the Attack and it kinda just works out. Bonus if you get a duo that syncs up, like Doom Special + Weak Attack.

My go-to is still Hera but that’s just because I found the secret kind of boring.
