I’ve worked for a person who would make sure to fire liberals before the end of the month so their insurance would cut at the end of the month, but “good conservatives” he would wait till the beginning of the month and have the company cover insurance through the month.

I don't even know what this is supposed to accomplish once the election is over. Even if they plan on following through, this only gives her time to prepare in some way. This is what I'm afraid of though. Trump has a lot of clout with the alt-right even if he loses the election. There's too many dumb trump supporters with guns out there, and many of them are my neighbors.

There's actually a system of tracking dots that are imposed when you decide to use many commercial and home printer/copiers. It can tell everything from the model/make/serial to the time and date it was made. The person who decided to hand those out is an idiot and I hope the FBI finds them and throws them in a deep dark hole.

Technically there are ways to circumvent that and make them unreadable by adding additional docs through a few scripts.

Nobody who did this is smart enough to know about that.

It just feels like it. It’s not really particularly close

    electoral college it could be

vote wise it is not by any means the closest

Even by EC, it’s gonna be a pretty decent victory.

It just feels close because of the weird counting order

Edit and I means the margins in the states for electoral votes. I know how the popular vote is going

I edited my post to more reflect what I was talking about. The popular vote is in the bag, but the state by state margins that determine the ec are extremely close. And I think their the smallest margins, at least in my life time. This is different than 2000, there are multiple states you could contest that have a 10k margin. This is sickening close. And I think the closest in my life time (born 81)

If mail and early votes had been counted before November 3rd in these places it wouldn’t feel this long and drawn out. By all accounts we’d have Biden as the winner and the beginning of the end of the nightmare would start.

It was brought to my attention that that note is based on a fake note Trump supporters supposedly received

In this case it’s a real threat though, even though it’s based on a fake one

you put that in someone's mailbox, you're making a threat

    doesn't matter if it's a meme

Yeah she didn’t know what it was based on and was understandably upset at finding it in her mail

Hell regardless of what it is, it's mail fraud at the very least. Mail boxes are ONLY for official US mail. You can't just put flyers in them.

Also because we are living through it right now. Reading about Grover Cleveland is a funny history story because it isn't 1898.

Also, because 2020 has caused time to fray and dilate.

This is a very close race despite the suggestion otherwise. Biden has undoubtedly won this but this was not a slam dunk and no one should really be thinking it was.

. . . it's also the most participated in election for both candidates with Trump having cleared Obama's 2008 vote count today.

    Right to work state?

    Louisiana, yes.

Even though such a firing is illegal; but unless I had it documented that it was my voting record that was the reason for my firing I'm SOL.

I got it. It’s still not going to be that close. It just feels that way because of the obnoxiously slow counting and red mirage effect. When they actually certify the results, Biden will have a winning edge outside of 1% in 270+ worth of states

I'm sure a lot of you know about Kendzior, someone who was an expert on fascism before it landed over here in a big way. She has said a lot of insightful things and made a lot of predictions about how corrupt and dangerous Trump is and although I've seen just about everyone here making the same conclusion about this election, its good to see so many respected public figures like her saying it very visibly and worded so well.

This is an election with the largest turnout in 100 years, with very large representation of on both sides. Statements like this are just not reflective of how momentous this is.

Well, nobody gets sacked here for voting a particular way

They get sacked as part of a RIF, poor performance, etc.

It's generally not legal here either, but you need to prove it. So unless you got your shitty boss to agree to speak in to a tape recorder and say he fired you because you're a dirty voting liberal...big shrug.

TO give even more context, they are pissed that Biden "the radical socialist" won and are worried about their taxes going up.

I don't know where they got it, but the idea of a 9% hike came up, which would add just short of 1 Million to the owner's taxes per year. The guy is still making at least 9 million per year (and that's without considering the multitude of ways you can deduct expenses from it), and I'm wondering why the fuck he has anything to complain about with that amount of money.
