    I am irked.

Irked about many things i can't talk, but mainly, right now, i'm irked because Game Design will never be a profitable venture for me despite how much i enjoy it.

either apropos or malapropos, depending, but for some reason I watched this again recently, which is a very good talk about what it's like to be an indie developer that never sells well and making a living off of it

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmwbYl6f11c

Yeah, it's a good video and that kinda the flash that got me to thinking that unless is hit the lottery jackpot and get a hit on first try (nearly impossible), i probably won't be able to afford to make much more games.

the minute lootboxes are declared gambling I'm going to spend millions from credit cards on lootboxes and stupid gacha games

collecting gambling debt is illegal you see, which includes credit card companies

    2020 just keeps on taking

A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

some minute reading of the details would be prudent - it's not just any debt you gambled away, so like a bill from bettsson.com, yeah if they let you charge that then that's gambling debt

and after a few cases with hundreds of thousands kroner in credit card debt ended up in the courts that's probably not going to happen since the code the service uses for the transaction has to be the one that is for casino/gambling (otherwise they'll get banned from the whole credit card system) and if it is then it won't go through

these days payment has to go through a few loops first if you want to play poker online

and if you're hiding it from them the law doesn't apply - obviously. Because like, if I take a loan from you to build a new garage but come back and say I instead spent it all on roulette you can't collect now that would be ridiculous.

but these game companies don't have that yet

point is I missed the train on spending two hundred thousand playing poker and then just not paying it so I want to get in on the action next time

I crawled around in the crawlspace yesterday to check the feasibility of this plan, ain't nothing natural down there.

Also discovered that one of the joists under the bathroom had been cut through in several places to run pipes and another one had been cut and then "repaired" by attaching another piece apparently with nails, things which the inspector never mentioned for some reason.

    I'm sure it's fine.

I’m at an Asian grocery store in Denver and some coworkers came with. I’m feeling a little guilty because I’m an extraordinarily thorough shopper, googling everything when it’s a type of ingredient to which I don’t have regular access. They’re not rushing me but I do feel a little self centered >_>

Best part about an instant pot is when I realize I haven’t done anything with the chicken in the fridge and decide *eh* and throw a bunch of nonsense into it and out comes some tasty shredded chicken.

When the man picked up his dog, its paw became lodged in the gun’s trigger and set it off, police say.

“Fortunately, it was just a through and through shot — it didn’t hit a main artery or anything,” Plano police officer David Tilley said in a phone interview. “He took himself to the hospital and he’s fine.”

    i finished OneShot properly now...

    that's 4 games beaten in 4 days.

But, anyway, i really wish i could make one of those lovely narrative indie games that resonate with people.

I am unable to play video games due to this awful pinched nerve, so I've been watching High Score on Netflix, a documentary about video game origin stuff and its pretty neat even if I know a lot of this already.

Richard Garriott is a very eccentric fellow.
