in the broad sense a bunch of characters but most notably kassadin/ryze have scaling with mana in a way other heroes do not, and roa ended up being a crutch that made some mana-based heroes actively less interesting
removing roa then seeing where they end up is the right call tbh
removing roa AND nerfing POM made a lot of characters that didn't really worry about mana now worry a LOT about mana

I've played multiple games decided by ADCs. They just don't scale better and quicker than everyone else now
they don't scale at all unless they're lethality. crit adcs are basically dead except for samira. someone on the reddit calculated the net damage of champs before and after the changes, of the 151 champions, like 7 lost damage. 4 of them are crit adcs. one is annie but it's because people are playing her support. it's truly awful how bad it feels to play someone like jinx or caitlyn right now. on hit is so so, depends on the champion.
they look to be buffing anivia soon because of how brutal the removal of RoA has been for her. i think the game is healthier without tons of +mana items anyway, makes you unable to itemize yourself out of resource restrictions on champs like kassadin where that's the only limit on his power.
i'm hopeful for 10.25 because i'm charlie brown trying to kick the buff crit adcs football again. i've barely played at all since last week because i really just want to play my crit adcs but it's currently not fun at all to get shredded into next week by lethality jhin/mf or any of the bot lane mages.

If you're not aware: your lootboxes for getting S on champions reset at the beginning of the new season, so in January. You can look to see how many you have available on your profile page on the lower left corner (and it'll say you'll have a new one available in x days). You can then check out your collection and look for the box icon on a champion's portrait to see if you've earned one or not this season.
It's caused me to play a bunch of enchanter supports, and also a couple games of Twitch--fun way to tryhard but not like tryhard tryhard, since you're playing champions that either you're bad at or you haven't practiced much this season. I recommend it as a fun miniquest for yourself!
I've been having fun exploring new items by playing the end of season box quests.
My mini-game for Season...6, it probably was, was strictly earning boxes in order of descending champion mastery. And I actually did it almost completely! I sort of went back to it this season but as more of a "for guideline purposes" rather than the only way to do it.
It is a headache at this point in the season trying to remember who you've "boxed" for ARAM games. Sure, just let me memorize 40-odd champions that I've had at least one randomly good game on while I had a box available this season.
But it's a good "end-of-season play random stuff" option.

Yea, I've had a few where the ADC got immensely fed. I've had significantly more games where the ADC was almost entirely forgettable.
I tried Skarner in the jungle and I used a Phase Rush build and didn't do well. I really like Skarner but I really don't think I like him in the jungle. A lot of it could be due to me not being that good at jungle anyway, I have issues knowing when to gank.
My first gank was for a Fiora that was going against Urgot who killed the Fiora before I could even get to my red buff and then Fiora used teleport and died immediately again so when I went up to gank the Urgot shortly after my raptors he was pretty easily able to 1v2 us.
I think I just need to stick to WW, Amumu, and Vi for jungle. Yorick continues to be fun up top and this Twitch build I've been using has also remained fun though I played a game against a full tank Amumu and Shen with an Akali and we got steamrolled.

Glad I tried Illaoi during the free rotation instead of buying her. I really don't like how she plays. Also Cho'Gath is such a pain in the ass at top. I wish his ult had a longer cooldown.
Had a jungler that completely ignored top, didn't come up once the entire game and Cho was 4/0 by the time they destroyed tower before 20 minutes. Didn't even snowball any other lanes. Was just a garbage jungle.
I wonder if I could have done better as Yorick. The Cho ruptured every time I did my E as Illaoi so I couldn't effectively harass with that.

They are basically like the Illuminati of conspiracy theory lore, but magical and in Noxus. They've been around forever and they keep weaving in new champion backstories to them

Yes! Black Rose is the Noxus shadow-cabal, led by LeBlanc, Vladimir, and Elise. Cassiopeia is a member as well, while Samira has indirectly worked for them, too. They overthrew Mordekaiser in the ancient past (Vlad / LeBlanc). They created Sion!
They've also been puppets behind the different Grand Generals--they supported Darkwill (Swain's predecessor) but also may have manipulated Swain into killing him? They at least manipulated him into purging some of their members earlier. I still think the Faceless is LeBlanc despite the apparent denials of it, though he could be du Couteau, I guess.

If you're facing an illaoi or Cho top, pick Singed. He's a hard counter to both of them but -especially- against Illaoi. Unless you do something silly, she can't touch you if you're Singed.

I still don't know why people chase you into your poison. Singed has been in since the start, you'd think people would have learned.
But Singed's true power comes into play later in the team fights. Your slow is ridiculous both with how far you can throw it and how hard it hits. And pulling people out of position with Singed is like, the trick to being influential in teamfights. I haven't figured out the best mythic for him yet but it'll probably be something that gives cooldown reduction so I can pop my ult more often.
Singed's ult, btw is one of the craziest in the game. It's what lets you take on whole entire teams in the late game, by yourself, and manage to kill one or two champs while the rest of your team pushes a lane to finish a game. A fully built Singed can fucking bend the game to his will just about.

As Illaoi you have to position around your tentacles and rely on hitting your E. Anybody who can harass her from outside of her W range is going to be a bad time for her. There's a lot of baiting to get the right E off. I personally don't think she's very strong just do to her animations. Being locked in for so long on those just feels bad. Also Malphite crushes her and the matchup is so dead easy to play for Malphite I'd not try her unless as a counterpick to something

Yeah, a Singed vs Illaoi matchup basically comes down to the Singed player going "fuck your positioning!" and yoinking Illaoi out of place or just straight up tanking her and out damaging her cause of your poison, while also still pulling her out of place or slowing her down to a crawl so your jungle can have a gank.
Also you kill -way- more creeps than just about any other tank when you play Singed.

I have discovered a build I really like on swain if the enemy team has a bunch of squishies.
I get a mana tear on the first back and build a night harvester.
I no longer have mana issues and I fuckin delete their ADC

Had a support Poppy go all in at level 2 against Thresh/Jhin and I'm playing Jinx. Dude got fucking deleted. He did it twice in a row. Went in, died, got back to lane, went in, died.

Don't think it was auto fill because they asked to support. If they wanted to snowball they shouldn't have immediately gone back in and died again after the first failed attempt.
The Poppy let me die to Thresh and Jhin whole Poppy was sitting in a bush doing nothing and said they were using me as bait and did absolutely nothing.
After that I ignored them and just stuck to tower. No chance in hell am I gonna go further in lane with an ass clown like that.

it's *extremely* good on champs that can easily enter combat safely and easily. Morgana, for instance, can puddle from a distance and enter combat, and bam you start healing your team mates.

duskblade quickblades collector yi makes me want to uninstall and throw my computer into a lake.
oh sure you can kill him in like, oh, 8 autoattacks as jinx, so a nice 3 seconds of AAing.
if he touches anyone on your team, you die instantly because he's either invisible or untargetable the entire time. if he has flash? you get pentaed. idk what crit adcs are supposed to do man, i was super fed, like 8 kills or something with most cs in the game, 2 items at ~18 minutes which is hard now that ruunans costs a billion gold and then like the 2 kill morde onetouched me with Q after I autoed him 15 times and barely did anything to him. the other team's bot lane was was absolutely useless through the floor, but it doesn't matter because adcs don't matter.
idk how they aren't moving faster on these items, they made the game so, so much worse.
I will admit, part of my reasoning for switching back to support this season after playing bot and jungle last season is that

I used duskblade on Jhin instead of eclipse because of the nerf and real talk, that duskblade kill proc saved my life from Cait.
And then the enemy Xerath came down and ganked and I died but our MF took the tower in response so I'm down for it.
Just had a game where we surrendered 5v4 because we couldn't beat just 4 people. It was so pathetic.
Next game we absolutely dominated the enemy team. I'm kind of surprised that low elo doesn't ban Jhin much when it looks like Jhin is almost always banned in high elo.

I still don't know why people chase you into your poison. Singed has been in since the start, you'd think people would have learned.
But Singed's true power comes into play later in the team fights. Your slow is ridiculous both with how far you can throw it and how hard it hits. And pulling people out of position with Singed is like, the trick to being influential in teamfights. I haven't figured out the best mythic for him yet but it'll probably be something that gives cooldown reduction so I can pop my ult more often.
Singed's ult, btw is one of the craziest in the game. It's what lets you take on whole entire teams in the late game, by yourself, and manage to kill one or two champs while the rest of your team pushes a lane to finish a game. A fully built Singed can fucking bend the game to his will just about.
As Illaoi you have to position around your tentacles and rely on hitting your E. Anybody who can harass her from outside of her W range is going to be a bad time for her. There's a lot of baiting to get the right E off. I personally don't think she's very strong just do to her animations. Being locked in for so long on those just feels bad. Also Malphite crushes her and the matchup is so dead easy to play for Malphite I'd not try her unless as a counterpick to something
Yeah, a Singed vs Illaoi matchup basically comes down to the Singed player going "fuck your positioning!" and yoinking Illaoi out of place or just straight up tanking her and out damaging her cause of your poison, while also still pulling her out of place or slowing her down to a crawl so your jungle can have a gank.
Also you kill -way- more creeps than just about any other tank when you play Singed.
I get a mana tear on the first back and build a night harvester.
I no longer have mana issues and I fuckin delete their ADC
just got a big buff. Not sure if it's good enough yet, but it's getting adjustments.

Had a support Poppy go all in at level 2 against Thresh/Jhin and I'm playing Jinx. Dude got fucking deleted. He did it twice in a row. Went in, died, got back to lane, went in, died.

Auto filled and really didn't want to be there probably. Or knew thresh is a disaster of a lane for poppy support and was hoping you guys could snowball early?
Don't think it was auto fill because they asked to support. If they wanted to snowball they shouldn't have immediately gone back in and died again after the first failed attempt.
The Poppy let me die to Thresh and Jhin whole Poppy was sitting in a bush doing nothing and said they were using me as bait and did absolutely nothing.
After that I ignored them and just stuck to tower. No chance in hell am I gonna go further in lane with an ass clown like that.

it's *extremely* good on champs that can easily enter combat safely and easily. Morgana, for instance, can puddle from a distance and enter combat, and bam you start healing your team mates.

Dudes had it hard these past few years with what happened and he can probably make texas streaming, but I hate to see him drop out of league like this.

oh sure you can kill him in like, oh, 8 autoattacks as jinx, so a nice 3 seconds of AAing.
if he touches anyone on your team, you die instantly because he's either invisible or untargetable the entire time. if he has flash? you get pentaed. idk what crit adcs are supposed to do man, i was super fed, like 8 kills or something with most cs in the game, 2 items at ~18 minutes which is hard now that ruunans costs a billion gold and then like the 2 kill morde onetouched me with Q after I autoed him 15 times and barely did anything to him. the other team's bot lane was was absolutely useless through the floor, but it doesn't matter because adcs don't matter.
idk how they aren't moving faster on these items, they made the game so, so much worse.

And then the enemy Xerath came down and ganked and I died but our MF took the tower in response so I'm down for it.
Just had a game where we surrendered 5v4 because we couldn't beat just 4 people. It was so pathetic.
Next game we absolutely dominated the enemy team. I'm kind of surprised that low elo doesn't ban Jhin much when it looks like Jhin is almost always banned in high elo.
