FFS I am doing a quest that I'm supposed to escort a guy and a convoy and the convoy has decided to stop for no reason. Not sure what I'm to do now. I've tried reloading.

Is this the convoy of boats?
They'll stop moving until all the enemies on the banks are dead.
Also the patch fixed the bug where you have unlimited ammo on the boat, so have fun wading to each shore back and forth three times to clear out all the enemies.
I think eventually they were really stuck after everyone was dead and I just continued on to the objective and mission advanced. Didn't wait for the boats.

Some of the bugs/glitches in Valhalla can be pretty funny, like this one where you're escorting the baker (the former raider gang guy) from Ravensthorpe:
I was kind of hoping that I would be able to just keep summoning wolf mounts until they filled up the whole area, but it seemed to max out at three.
I kind of bugged the quest out for a while though, since the Baker guy wouldn't get back on his own horse and just stood there, frozen in place.
Fast travelled away to another main quest, did that, then back to Ravensthorpe, and he randomly just spawned there at his bakery, luckily resuming his dialogue and the quest.
I've only had one hard crash (on the XB1X), when a high-level Zealot hit me so hard with a fire-bomb that I was thrown from my horse and through the scenery, clipping me out of the game world, right through the ground.
Has anyone managed to get
Excalibur yet? Is it worth the effort to get it? I found the cave underneath Stonehenge that leads to some kind of Isu facility/location, and have eight of the stone tablets.

I ended up choosing a different alliance to work on. Lol... Maybe I'll go back to it.
One thing the update low key fixed is eivors circle buckle/emblem thing on their default outfit, at launch it was pixelated as heck and distracted me in every cutscene, now it’s a much sharper and clearer texture
They really need a log, sometimes some quests will have minor extra stuff you can do and like an npc will tell you a name of a place, but the names are all so similar sounding I immediately forget and there’s no way to ask the npc again

I had a bug earlier that deleted all 260+ Opals I had stocked up and all that Twitch gear, but also reset the daily quests. Re-loading later brought them all back but it was a bit odd for a while.
Thanks. I found out that 40 hours is my limit on games like this. Currently at 60 hours and I want to finish it before I end up putting it down forever.

Heh when I finished it my playtime was over 120 hours, but some of that was resting on pause while I *cough* worked from home.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I’m at the point where I got all the core skills I want so I’m just grabbing the rest for completion. The Sprint Bash skill can be used to break those mining nodes. It’s quicker for when you have weapons that are awkward to line up a hit.

That's another change from Odyssey that feels like an incredible step back. The new nodes need better hit detection.
Mines fixed now with the patch, but peoples mileage may vary, stuff seems to be impacting people differently, still quite glitchy but most of the bugs are more benign now for me
Edit: spoke too soon, got a common bug, stealth recon stopped working, and odins sight as well is no longer highlighting enemies, ah well I guess it’ll make stealth more challenging
I’ve really clicked with the combat now and the game is taking off for me, love it
I love the battles and the blood effects, and again this engine is brilliant at having bodies stay, which is is something I always love in games, there’s nothing that makes a game feel more artificial than finishing a big battle and having all the bodies disappear. Whereas here after a big raid there’s like 20 corpses strewn everywhere with blood, looks badass
Edit: ok good switching from performance to quality and back again fixed my highlighting glitch. My god the 30fps quality mode is horrendous after playing the 60fps one, and gun to my head I couldn’t tell you the visual difference
Ffs spoke to soon again, as soon as I saved the glitch came back. Wtf
So I ran into a bug where I loot an enemy that has a carbon/nickel ingot, but the game doesn't recognize me completing the wealth checklist. The wealth icon still shows up on the map and the compass waypoint on the body. Searching online it may be related to the auto-loot skill and you got to reload an earlier save and remove the skill before killing the guy with the wealth.
But I did a workaround for that. Fast travel far away from the bugged wealth corpse, make a new save then quit the game. Then travel back to the area, the enemies should respawn and you can just kill the dude carrying the wealth again. Auto-loot worked fine, although your mileage may vary so hope you don't encounter this bug.
Oh my God Reda stop telling this story. I need to talk to you and this is 3rd time he has told this story that I can't skip.
I don't even get the story, he's just sitting there doing nothing and I can't talk to him.
Which apparently doesn't matter, as there are reports that even people who can talk to him just get an empty store.
Making you interact and wait through the entire story before you can talk to him is a baffling design decision. I can't think of any other example of that where you didn't have both a locational prompt to listen but also a character prompt to ignore the story and interact immediately.
I've had the bug with the store being empty before, but it seemed to fix itself by the time I played the next day. I could still get quests from him at that time. I assume this is less a bug and more Ubisoft's servers shitting the bed since Reda is an account-based online store, not an in-game store.
But like you, now that I've completed 10 contracts for the Vikings For Hire quest, Reda is just sitting on the ground with no other children around with the quest marker over his head and no way to interact with him. So not only can I not complete the quest, I can't access the store at all.
Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.
I figured out how to get the convoy moving. I used my boat and rammed the fuck out of them until they made it to the shore.... But it still didn't trigger the quest.
So I fast traveled back. Hopped on my horse and swam across the river and that triggered the quest lol.
The next quest also bugged and I had to herd the guy to his horse. He kept wandering around the area.

Fuck me.

Its endlessly hilarious to me that activities and stores often don’t close during conflict.
There’s nothing like asking for wares while the guys house is on fire, or having a drinking completion with a guy as I’m raiding his village
Viking as heck

Every time this happens I crack up
Tho for some reason recordings are super dark even though it’s bright on my tv
And I just charged at a wolf and did a full two feet jump kick into it. GOTY

Xbox Series X, but I have seen reports of it on PC as well. Fast travel doesn't work, autosaves don't happen and you cannot manually save.
Game is unplayable at the moment.

Around 10 hours depending on how often you do fast travel to get to places. As a note I'll spoil this but it only really talks about the map.
you "finish" the game before you finish the alliance map, just letting you know
