So what I'm seeing is that horses are basically 1 ton cats that happen to eat plants

    that is a bit terrifying

Having grown up around horses, I'd say that horses are 1 tonne cows with long necks, but that would be rude to cows.

Horses are 1 tonne sheep with long necks and no wool.

Even the most placid trustworthy well-trained horse can have an 'off' day, see a fly in the edge of it's peripheral vision in the middle of a standard walk along the same bush trail it's walked literally hunderds of times, decide it very much does NOT want to be where it currently is because that fly might actually be a volcano erupting, rear and buck until you are flung off despite your best efforts to calm it, kick you in the face as you fall to the ground resuting in a wound above your eyebrow requiring a dozen stitches and swelling and bruising that doesn't subside for a month, and gallop away like its arsehole is currently on fire whilst you lie bleeding, bruised, and whimpering on the ground.

I'd say "ask me how I know" but that didn't happen to me, that happened to my Mum on the horse she'd owned for 14 years and had trained both my sisters and I how to ride on, right before she gave up riding forever and bought a pony broken to harness and a sulky to suit. Nearly two decades later she's the treasurer and my Sister is the president of the harness club in our area.

Let me tell you how my last bunny often climbs the two flights of stairs to our upstairs, feels the tile floor, then nopes out regularly. Or our bunny who use to hop onto the couch to sit on my shoulder while I played Destiny

Possibly because all of the extreme sports videos are so far outside of my experience to be basically video game footage, but I've seen whales in real life and while they are amazing I have absolutely no desire to be without several dozen yards and a big boat between me and them
