Well, wow.
It's been a bit of time since I've actually beaten a game off of my Steam catalog. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an outstanding sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest. You've probably heard every accolade possible by now, but it really is an excellent platformer. Incredible art, great environments and thrilling cinematic boss fights, emotional storyline, and fantastic music. Ori 2 gets it. I was genuinely unsure if I would like a second game with Ori 1's gameplay after playing Hollow Knight, but thankfully Moon Studios thought the same thing and upped the diversity and arsenal at Ori's disposal. I definitely prefer Ori 2's combat to Ori 1's.
I honestly only have two real cons to the game. Unfortunately, Moon didn't learn from the escape sequences from Blind Forest and there are a handful of them here that are hit or miss. They're not too egregious, but some really want you to think on your toes or beat your head until you get it. The only other con is Willow's End, which reminded me of The White Palace from Hollow Knight as soon as I got there. I really don't enjoy farming the entire game for life upgrades when almost every obstacle/enemy in the last area kills you instantly. I can imagine both of those things could ruin an otherwise perfect game for someone less patient than I.
In any case, if you like platformers or "Metroidvanias", just put Ori and the Will of the Wisps at the top of that 'to play' list. You won't regret it.
Thanks again @übergeek for Ori and the Will of the Wisps! I thoroughly enjoyed it, either as much or more than Blind Forest.

@Orivon hit me with a Hero game! Specifically, Hero of Chance! Apparently it has exciting battles AND hot girls, and as a fan of both, I'm excited to play it
I mean, you can steam trade them, so yes, but specifically, he sent me the artwork to put in my profile that matches up with the steam background.
You can do custom Steam backgrounds? How is that not terribly exploited, like everything else on the internet?
No, but you can put up artwork in the middle of your profile that matches your steam background so it looks nice. Like what HitBit did for me.
Yeah... A while back, Hit Bit made me some awesome animated artwork to match the animated background I was using. It requires some voodoo to make it work, but it's pretty amazing. Not as amazing as Hit Bit, but still amazing.
In one strange twist, my game of the year by the end of 2020 ended up being... chess. Like, the regular kind, not even 5D.
I did play quite a few games, some of those for hours (Death Stranding and Cyberpunk come to mind, and the former edges out the latter on basically not being bug ridden, but they're great games.) But it was a combination of Queen's Gambit, finding out amazing Chess Twitch streamers and finding the fun in studying chess that made it great for me.
I still suck, but the fun is in sucking less every day. :P
Had a bit of a crazy morning today and am exhausted now coming down off some high adrenaline.
But thanks to @Stabbity Style for Blackwake the pirate game.
People! Come on we have to be more careful. We aren't allowed to talk about video game piracy on the forums or we're all going to get banned. I blame you, @Stabbity Style!
Had to look up Blackwake. Crews up to 13 players, perfect game for some PA crew shenanigans
Can we shoot each other with out of cannons?
Only if you can find a helmet (or a cooking pot) to satisfy the safety requirements of the Fettuccini Brothers
Edit: OK, so looking to start my xcom 2 stream at around 10:00GMT/UTC tomorrow the 13th. I will attempt to stream for a whole 12 hours which I hope I can deliver. Here's the link to my Twitch channel I'll be broadcasting from. Feel free to tune in should you get the chance. Anyone want to put themselves down now for troopers can do so through DM, also let me know if you have any kind of preferences towards the appearance of your trooper and/or what class they should be, and I'll try and fashion a soldier after you once I get the opportunity in the game.
I'll be playing War of the Chosen expansion with the X-COM UFO Defense retro soundtrack because it kicks all kinds of ass. Commander difficulty which is arguably either Hard or the mode the game is meant to be played on, seeing as it's the first difficulty setting that doesn't 'cheat' in your favour. Alien rulers will be locked behind the story mission since that's the only way to prevent them from appearing in ops until you're ready to take them on, since I'm not that big of a masochist.
Class choices are:
Ranger - close range specialist equipped with a shotgun, and a sword. Usually topping the leaderboard in kills if they live long enough to see a promotion or two.
Sharpshooter - Two branches of progression for these soldiers. They can either specialise in long-range sniping, or become a pistolero which can get pretty OP with enough perks / advanced weapons research.
Grenadier - carries a light machinegun, but more importantly can fire grenades longer distances and with the right perks, cause a lot more damage. These are your fire support for either pinning down enemies where they stand, or demolishing their cover and stripping off their armour.
Specialist - HACK THE PLANET, also, heal people. Support class with a drone which can be upgraded to either improve your medic abilities, or anti-mech options. I usually specialise my first one as a medic and the second or more as hackers.
SPARK - XCOM 2's answer to the SHIV and the MEC from XCOM EU, combined. Except you don't chop a soldier's arms and legs off to make them Robocop's bigger brother. These are purely mechanical units which can soak up a bit of damage without having to spend a month in medbay afterward.
Reaper - WotC faction sniper. Can remain concealed separate to the rest of the squad, and can also regain concealment. Has a really disgusting ability to throw a claymore mine and then explode it without alerting enemies to their presence, and they get stronger from there. Marina Sirtis voices the female trooper while Johnathan Frakes voices the faction leader.
Skirmisher - WotC faction made up of ADVENT troopers who have managed to free their minds from their alien masters' influence and now fight for the resistance. They have a neat grapple hook / melee ability and use a bullpup SMG rifle thingy for their primary weapon. Michael Dorn stands in as a male voice actor for these units.
Templar - WotC faction ranger type. They have a machine pistol as their only ranged weapon, but that is because they prefer to run around with psionically-powered gauntlets that let them make mind blades to shiv aliens with. Their strength lies in getting a kill streak that builds up their charge, making them more powerful if they gain momentum. John de Lancie voices this mostly cut-for-time faction.
Depending on level of viewer participation I may let chat decide what research or missions I choose next, whenever there's a choice to be made (sometimes there may be just one thing to do, like emergency Council callouts).
It's a IG vid of 2 guys in a car singing to sea shanties. And the comments are dangerous because people keep linking Spotify playlists and I can't stop. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE

Made it as far as One Skip From Eden. Yeesh... so close.
Saffron is my favorite, but Hazel's 'I will make all the guns and make them into giant meat shields' play style also speaks to me.
(And I had one amazing accident where her tractor beam pulled Gunner right into her solar rays of death. Fun times.)
Also, I finished Detention. Now I'm curious how the show adapts it...
Red Candle seem to have a thing for self-deprecating protagonists.

Also need to gather my sale postmortem. I did receive a few gifts that weren't immediately called out.

Only about 8 years too late...But I'm definitely going to have to give it a go

Getting out of the character creator is not "beating" the game

I unsubbed from ubiconnect or whatever it's called so I can't Fenyx.
But I can immediately restart a new Cyberpunk character!
