It’s almost like I did it deliberately for a laugh and made an obvious allusion to doing so in the OP.
Rocky Horror is his most iconic role and probably the least interesting answer to the question, as it’s the most obvious. And quite possibly the right answer!
I feel like leaving it off, was a trap, or a troll.
either way, interesting but clearly not the correct answer.
eeehhhh
Wadsworth is amazing and Clue is my favorite movie ever, but Tim Curry singing in drag is just too amazing not to be his best
My brother and I have very fond memories of Rocky Horror, we went to the local theater and watched it every week, for a while. To the point where the cast reserved our seats for us and knew us by name.
So like, I get it. I get the love, and I had a lot of good times and maybe HPV.
But, if you asked me what Time Curry movie I would want to watch tonight, it would be Clue.

Last Action Hero is so much smarter than it has any right to be
It's not clever, because the nature of action movies is not clever, but they take a very stupid space and feng shui it into something that you can actually spend time thinking about which is some galaxy brain shit at work
Tim Curry did a fantastic job with his role in RHPS, but I find that the role itself has aged poorly. I used to love it, and now it just makes me feel bad. I don't want to hijack the thread with a criticism of RHPS, so I'll just link an old comment and if anybody wants to yell at me, they can do it over DMs.
Clue, however, still holds up. I watch that movie every year or two. Even the homophobic bits between Colonel Mustard and Mr. Green focus on Mustard's boorishness.
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.
I just watched David Ehrlich's Top 25 Movies video for 2020, and I think that when the real COVID-19-caused dearth of films hits I'll just sit down, go through all of Ehrlich's best-of videos, make a list and watch all the film he's included that I haven't seen yet. The guy has a way of editing footage and music together that makes me want to watch 'em all. Except the Borat sequel.

I will one up you by having never liked RHPS in the first place. HA!

While not his best movie by a long shot, I really like The Shadow and I like him in it. When he loses his shit, nobody can put on a crazy face like Tim Curry.

Yeah I can understand why you wouldn’t want the single best, sexiest, longest running, and most culturally important film ever made to overshadow the other options

Well, I mean, yeah, this obviously is the best take. Any take where he isn't obviously struggling to keep it together would be so much worse.
