The most important factors in a dog name are 1. Are you okay with belting that name out in the middle of a field of strangers and 2. Does it have a fun shorthand you can default to (even if that shorthand is exactly the same number of syllables and isn't shorter at all but at least is fun to say)

I do know I'd be greatly amused to see an email request for training for a dog named Binky

I've always been a fan of the name Utah for a dog. I have no idea why.

It doesn't matter anyway because if he's on Twitter, he's got a stealth account. I guess that just means we won't get the world's foremost Scoob expert's opinion on the matter.

No shit, we've had multiples of every name on that list in group dog class except Buddy, Rocky, and Teddy

I have known one dog named Buddy but that wasn't in a Professional Dog Capacity

The Dukes were the most regal though, there was a very good Duke owned by a Sam Elliott looking guy complete with moustache, and the was a mixed black and brown boxer with a brown spot over the eye. Dog was very sweet!

For what it's worth, I like Binky. I love giving pets ironic names though, so I may actually be a bad opinion made flesh.

Name the St. Bernard something like Bitsy, or Tiny Tim.
Name the small dogs Bruiser or Spike
Name the chihuahua Sweetums or Cuddles.

My favourite pet names are foods and regular people names.

I used to have a cat with both, she was called Barbecue which got shortened to Barb.

I named my dog after a plant and she is obsessed with plants - gotta smell every one on her walks, the pine trees being her favourite she will actively make me stop for

I assume cheese-based dogs will be obsessed with their namesakes too?

At swimming lessons for my daughter one of the kids there has the same name as my dog. And at the beginning of the lesson we sing a good morning song to each individual baby. And every time we have to sing good morning to Bodhi the human, the only thing that goes through my mind is, “that’s a dog’s name”.

What are either of them talking about Scoob is a Great Dane

Your dog is clearly great as well, but I don’t think he’s Danish?
