If you only care about feeding the nightclub, then it doesn't matter one bit which one that you buy. You can grab the cheap ones, set them up, and forget about them.

I believe you want the bunker, crates or hangar, cocaine, meth, counterfeit cash as your nightclub feeders. That's the most productive, once you've maxed it out I think.

But yeah, do the setup, never go visit them again. My motorcycle club people are really really bored.

Done with those, just splitting money between 2 more basement upgrades at the club and I've got 2 useless upgrades out of the bunker. Doing as much as I can before R* decides to nerf the heist.

EDIT Club is done, just a waiting game now.

Today's question, I know you said don't get the mule custom, but if I do a sell mission that can't hold all the crates and I don't have one, does it mean it would switch to a pounder custom (assuming I bought that?), or can I not do certain sells if I don't have the mule?

Yeah if you have the third tier thing it'll use that for second tier missions. The 18 wheeler is good, definitely get that and not the mule.

I gotta say, I am getting sick of getting the booze. I got diamond once, necklace once, bonds twice and the rest are booze. Even hard mode doesn't really make it worth it after getting back to back to back over and over.

Ok so I got everything taken care of for the nightclub and arcade and bought a MoC.

So for my list of things I may need -

    Facility, Hangar, Penthouse, Terrorbyte, Deluxo

Whatever weapon upgrades once I'm done unlocking them all.

Upgrade my Tyrus, Toreador, and probably Deluxo once I get it. Oh and an Op MKII for the Terrorbyte.

Anything of note I should have not on the list? I think I recall reading that Akula is a great stealth chopper.

The akula is good, and IIRC it's still the fastest combat helicopter. It can also seat 4 if you're cruising for friends. However it's main asset is its stealth mode, which isn't really that applicable for a lot of the people here who like to live in solo lobbies 24/7.

It's surprisingly still useful in solo/private lobbies on account of being an instant 1-star heat reducer.

I suppose it does do that for the few situations where you can't just call Lester to remove your heat.

The effect Erlkonig is refering to is that entering stealth mode forces your wanted level to drop to 2 stars. Then, once breaking LOS with the cops, if you mess around with your outfit's accessories and equip/remove some glasses, then you can drop the star rating down to 1 star. Every now and then the glasses trick doesn't work.

Well, got the maxed out terrobyte today. That just leaves Op Mk II and Deluxo for vehicles for now. Unlocking all the bunker stuff is a pain, but I guess has to be done.

For the facility, which one should I get eventually?

That really doesn't matter much. The only real optimization would be one that has a convenient location for the prep missions for the doomsday heist. So one that is relatively accessible is good since you'll need to deliver a variety of vehicles to it. However since you won't be grinding that heist much, it doesn't matter much.

If you are intending to exploit the "Bogdan glitch" for making money, then you'll want the Paleto bay facility since it's closest to the glitchy finale mission. I don't advocate for doing so though. You'll need a friend to exploit the glitch anyway, and if R* ever took a close look at your finances they'd see what you did. You also probably want to avoid the one near the water reservoir since some people manage to slip up on the roads leading to it and fall into the water, destroying whatever vehicle they were trying to deliver.

Back again with an update. Just finished buying everything for the Penthouse. So far my list of stuff left is - Yacht, Avenger, Deluxo, Op MK II, Akula, about 12 Research upgrades, and then whatever goes best on each gun. I tried doing the Casino missions for the free car, but that takes more than 1 person and both attempts were only 2 lv 20's who had no clue what to do.

I guess now is a good time to ask as I get into the home stretch - What MKII guns and what upgrades do I need? I know Explosive Heavy Sniper with the larger mag and better scope but that's about it.

I forget if I even use a non-standard scope or not on the heavy sniper. Normally I don't increase the magnification after scoping up 90% of the time, and I mostly use it for blowing up aircraft.

The next most useful ammo is IMO incendiary rounds for the heavy revolver mk2 for PvE. It's guaranteed to ignite NPCs with one shot. After that would be explosive slugs for the pump shotgun, which is basically the same as the explosive heavy sniper except with iron sights and the slugs mysteriously vanish from reality after ~10 meters or so.

Beyond that all of the ammo is technically an objective upgrade over standard, but personally I haven't noticed much of a difference. I forget what I put on my combat MG. The one that makes it do more damage to vehicles maybe?

TBH, for normal dakka, I just use the non-upgraded special carbine. It's not so much that mk2 ammo costs too much, but that it's annoying to refill

The vanilla special carbine also has access to the drum magazine, which is something lost when upgrading to the carbine mk2.

I started using the military rifle instead for a change of pace, but the special carbine is just better though. The combination of recoil, poor magazine capacity, and poor rate of fire just make the military rifle worse. But the aug is cool and that's what matters when fighting pushover NPCs.

    edit:
It's not that the extra ammo or other upgrades are bad, it's just that some of the vanilla weapons are insanely pushed.

Take the special carbine. The special carbine mk2 is an objective upgrade in all aspects over the vanilla special carbine except the inability to equip a drum mag. That's before taking the specialty ammo into account as an additional upgrade. But practically the whole point of the special carbine is being a rapid fire near recoil-less laser that can just insta-kill npcs with headshots. The vanilla bullets are just as lethal via headshots, and the vanilla special carbine can spam more of them.

There are a variety of mk2 pistols, but 99% of the time the AP pistol is still the best bet. I think situationally you might want something else for shooting through bullet resistant glass or destroying unarmored vehicles via bullet spam, but that's kind niche compared to the accuracy of the AP pistol's bursts and how frequently you can just spray that at the driver's head. The heavy revolver mk2 is noteworthy since each shot is guranteed to ignite enemies, which is useful for dealing with obnoxious juggernaut guys that are too bullet spongey to conveniently kill via other means.

The weapons that I use on any consistent basis are the following:

Pistols: AP pistol, heavy revolver mk2, the vehicle unstuckinator
Assault rifles: Special carbine if I'm being serious, and I guess whatever the AK is called if I'm driving a motorcycle
Snipers: Heavy mk2 with explosive bullets for killing aircraft and NPC vehicle mostly, and a vanilla sniper rifle for headshotting enemies. If the marksman rifle ever got a better scope, I'd never use the vanilla sniper.
Shotguns: Pump mk2 with explosive slugs to steamroll a few missions, and the saiga since it's cool looking however if I were being super serious whatever the automatic shotgun is called is better than the saiga.
MGs: the combat MG with some kind of upgraded round, I honestly forget which. Also the laser mini-gun since I like it better than the actual mini-gun
Grenade launchers are sometimes useful for indirectly killing things.
Finally, the hatchet is super useful for all of the "kill lots of enemies in this cramped environment type map." For example, the "steal weapons from the rooftop office" prep mission for the perico heist. Just hatchet everyone in that office rather than risk taking a shotgun to the face.

Yeah, the RPG is clearly the winner against any vehicle with any kind of explosive resistance. It just can't compete with the explosive sniper's hitscan attack against vehicles that lack explosive resistance.

So today's up date. I bought the Deluxo, Op MK II, Akula, and Buzzard. I also got all the weapon upgrades.....I think. So that just leaves upgrading all the vehicles worth keeping that I have, doing upgrades to buildings that I haven't done yet, and a yacht. Then I lead each of the old heists for the stuff they unlocks and I've "beat" the game.

    camo_sig.png

    übergeekübergeek Sector 2814Registered User regular
All the vehicles that I plan to use are upgraded, and I guess I'll "sell" the criminal enterprise stuff to free up space and simplify my car listings since I can pull them anytime if they ever become useful. I also forgot about the Arena War garage, so that will be 3 mill I'll burn today.

Ok so I've got roughly everything I want and the yacht is the only thing I will waste money on later down the line if they ever go on sale. Now it's a matter of doing the old heists and then setting the game aside until the next content drop I guess.

If you do the aggressive version of the casino heist, if you possible you're going to want to own a scuba suit and an amphibious aircraft. They're not necessary, but they make the "steal explosives from the ocean floor" setup mission SIGNIFICANTLY less obnoxious. If prefer the Tula simply because it has more mass to it and is consequently less prone to drifting away from where you parked it.

1: equip scuba suit BEFORE starting the mission. This lets you skip the step where you are forced to kill some enemies to steal a scuba suit, which saves some time. (note: I've read that stealing the suit gives you ownership of one for free. I can't confirm since I've owned it long before the casino heist)
2: land the tula nearby but out of aggro range of the mobs that are above the dive site.
3: get out, climb on top of the tula, and use your infantry weapons to kill the mobs from range. The explosive sniper is best if you have it.
4: taxi over to the dive site and then grab the first explosive
5: take off and race to the arcade, ignoring the enemy helis
6: the helis in my experience give up and despawn after you drop off the first explosive. Return to the dive site and grab the other.

Other amphibious aircraft work too. I've done the above with the Seabreeze, which is cheaper and faster, but it has obnoxiously drifted away from where I parked it before. The sea sparrow is weaponized, but I've read that it likes to flip in high seas.

The toreador should work for some of the sites, but some of the sites are kind of obnoxious to get to from land and are far away from LS. You are also on an (invisible) timer to get the mission done. Having an aircraft ready speeds the mission up a lot.

Sometimes Rockstar's incompetence astounds me. The new update came out recently. It's alright. It's got a new feature where you can now hide the radio stations that you dislike so that only your favorites are on the dial. Where did they put this menu? Did they put it under the "Hide" menu where you can hide assorted stuff from your user interface and maps? NOPE.

They put it under inventory, and it's above your snacks and armor so you have an extra thing that you need to scroll past when you're frantically healing/armoring up in combat. How do you even mess that up? It's like they're not even trying.

Also the new auto-shop NPCs are several orders of magnitude worse than the new car meet NPCs. They're silly geese who are always disrespecting you when they're not busy having phone sex during the mission dialogue. They need to go to horny jail. I really wish that the update had us deal with the car meet NPCs (Hau and Mimi I think their names were?). They seem like nice people. I'd like to see more content with them.

I can't believe they removed the original versions and threatened the modding community.

Like, who looks at the Warcraft III remaster and thinks it's an instruction manual?

Then threatening the modders who, in their spare time, made better remasters than the paid company. Rockstar is a bunch of stupid assholes.

I do think it's hilarious that this version got published with the supposed-to-be-removed music still intact and even included the source code accidentally. It was either just present, or the compiled code wasn't obfuscated, I can't remember which. I'll still probably get them, but I'm going to wait and see how things go with updates and potential mods. I actually like the direction they went with the art style. People are also upset that these seem to be built off of the mobile version that the same studio created and not the original games, but I'm not sure outside of the gym minigames what that actually affects.

Do the PC versions still have the custom music radio station? That would be a deal breaker for me if they don't include it.
