Knockout [Chat]

Have you guys tried Knockout City? It's a 3v3 dodgeball game, and its open beta is happening right now (there's about a day left in the beta period).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJVyyojmY1E

It's a multiplayer game where I bought in during the first match. It has some of the basic dodgeball rules, you score by hitting player, and you can catch the balls thrown at you. And from then on, we get the added video-gamey bits. The game takes place in large maps, the ball gains more speed every time it's caught, so you're rewarded for catching the ball but it gets increasingly harder to catch the ball until it hits someone (or someone dodges it). You can throw trick shots, like lop and curve balls that are harder to anticipate. The game has throw fake move to bait your opponents into attempting to catch early. You and your teammates can turn yourselves into balls, that can be thrown by teammates, and if you fully charge a teammate before they're thrown they act as a self-guided bomb-ball with area of effect potential - enemy players can also just throw you off the map, if you ball up next to them. There are also special balls, like a bomb-ball that starts ticking down from the second it's picked up. And putting all that together is a great amount of fun. I'm sure there's stuff I left out, and stuff I don't even know about. Try it!

Who doesn't like a bit of dodgeball?

Most YouTubers don't hide behind animated characters unless animation itself is their schtick. I imagine a lot of them will end up more general voice actors.

Wait, you mean I have to get Mac monitors??

Oops, me not being clear again.

I meant every single thing referencing this stuff is using it with a "Mac", but I don't know if Apple means desktop PC or laptop. Also they don't seem to have any first party dual monitor outputs.

Might be a data limit in the dongle certainly you can use two TB ports and get two external monitors.

The M1 computers are limited to a single external because presumably they couldn’t get around that I/O limit with the system-on-a-chip before launching.

100% a 2019 Pro is not limited in that capacity. If you check the MacOS thread in Moe’s like one or two pages back Syndalis recommended me different TB docks and I feel like those should be able to handle what you need.

I'm glad the new gameplay on RE focuses on having weapons and not just hiding everywhere.

That kind of got me out of the last one, the fact that the first 15 minutes were just trying to find places to run and hide.

I spent easter making sure that the trees I've killed recently stay dead.

Except for 1: that one was definitely dead, but rotting like 10cm below ground and digging it up has explained why I kept getting whiffs of organic decay gas.

I remember my childhood, waking up on Easter morning just like that pink ribbon haired child, to sit with my parents in silence and look at a Christian College dorm room poster of Easter.

We kept it in a corner of the den just like that, and we too were broke so my mother and father shared a recliner.
