Mine's been the same for 14 years now, except for the occasional holiday forum change where he's wearing a Santa hat.
I just cropped an image from a Fallout loading screen I could easily find and haven't been bothered to update it since. Especially since the BiS Fallouts were among the first PC games I bought for myself.
ATM, feels like the basics for what can become a classic is there, but there are some significant issues with time and heat management, risk vs. reward in terms of how agents (particularly Super Agents) are dealt with, and how poorly all but the most basic things are explained that need to be address. Thankfully, based on what comments I can find from the devs they are planning to address these things.
The explanation part in particular feels like a case where the people in charge on the UI all knew the game mechanics a little *too* well, and therefore forgot to mention key details that were obvious to them but would completely opaque to someone new to the game. Like how Power Capacitors work to keep the base running should saboteurs or remodeling the power room shut off power; They do so by keeping the power going for 15 additional seconds per capacitor after you've gone in the red, but the only way you could figure that out is to go to the base overview screen (a screen that the tutorial never points you to) where it will list how many capacitors you have and how much extra time those capacitors give you. Or how the minions screen has a tab where you can prioritize individual minions for specific tasks based on the room it's in, and that said minions won't ever get tagged for schemes (though they still count towards having enough for schemes, so it can leave a scheme stalled until you train more, though the game does do partial deliveries of minions, so for shortages of basic minions it's just an extra minute or two for the new recruits to be trained up) so you can, for example, make sure there are always a couple of science minions doing research no matter how many additional science-operated devices you add to the base to boost minion stats. Then you have decor buffs, loot buffs, different modes for some items and devices... lots of things that tell you *just* enough to know there is something you can do with them, but not enough to tell you want that something *is.*
For those who don't have it, I'd label it as "wait for sale." Even if nothing major has changed by that time, as EvmaAlsar said it is still quite fun for the first 20 hours or so until the cracks start showing.
That said, there is one thing the game absolutely nailed:

Damn near 60 hours in and I had no idea you could hard lock minions to a task so they wouldn't interrupt operations by running off on schemes.

Fuck.
Do I also mention that when executing minions with your genius, all witnessing minions will have their stats fully restored, making it a great way to prevent mass defections among those tasked with burning the bodies after a particularly bad encounter with agents?
Or that your genius can gloat at prisoners, reducing the prisoner's resolve by 50 for the cost of 10 smarts?
Avatars were meant to be changed, often and with much happiness. Change it if you want to change it.
I agree. It's burrito dog time
Bought Spiritfarer last night, it looks like it will make me cry but in a good way.
I wanted to let you know that your avatar made me smile today in a good way. Seeing a dog in a blanket made me remember my pup loving her sherpa blankets. So thank you for the smile and tear as well.
I am very glad to hear this. He gives me free good brain chemicals too.
The world outside seems upside down and inside out. Steam's best sellers are full of anime porn and ultra-violent shooters trying to out-porn or out-violence each other.
Wouldn't it be amazing to just have a nice, chill, wholesome game that makes you feel good every second you're playing it?
This is that game.
I bought 4 copies, one for me and one for each of the kiddos.
You just sold one more copy on the strength of this recommendation.
As for changing avatars? That's crazy talk. How can you be certain you won't fundamentally change, or even simply cease to exist?

I see your username in your avatar now and am unable to unsee it now.
Thank you for Star Wars: Empire at War! Caedwyr says the modding scene is still actively underway for it, and recommends Thrawn's Revenge - a game and a hot tip! Much appreciated!
I hope you enjoy it. It's a game series I've been meaning to try out just on the basis of how impressive the modding scene is and what they've done with the base game.
Also, I now feel safe to thank you for Cat Quest 2, which you very kindly gifted to me after I reported how much I enjoyed Cat Quest 1. It's next on my list after I finish off my playthrough of Age of Wonders III, which I am still really enjoying.
My constant avatar reflects my stubborn insistence that the late 90s were ten years ago, and I will continue to say so until age enfeebles my mind enough to believe it.
Also Weapon of Choice is still an amazing video and the MacHall tribute to it still makes me giggle.
I got my username/callsign as an X-wing pilot, back in the 90s. The Scribblenauts thing is somewhat more recent.
Maybe I'll change it out for something from Squadrons, eventually.

For those interested, here's the webpage for the mod I mentioned:
You can play a campaign from a number of points in the Star Wars extended universe Legends timeline and can play as a number of factions including:
New Republic
Imperial Remnant
Empire of the Hand
Pentastar Alignment
Minor factions (Hapes Consortium, Duskhan League, Imperial Warlords)
There's a whole list of scenarios too and way to much to summarize.
Also, the extra good news is that this isn't the only major mod for the game. There's other ones out there that focus on the pre-sequel eras as well. The original game was decent, but the modding scene has really turned it into something special, especially for fans of the Legends books.

I am a mean crocodile who steals grandpa's coin and makes mallow (who is a tadpole, but looks nothing like a tadpole) cry and/or cause a rain storm.
I got my username after my old account just disappeared one day. I wanted to make it absolutely clear I wasn't trying to evade a ban or up to anything nefarious when I inquired about what happened. As it turned out, my old account was just gone for no apparent reason and I got stuck being an alt.
As for the avatar, I love how it reminds me how much fun it is to look the part. I took the "dress for the job you want" bit seriously in my early adulthood and when I'm at the office I try to always look east coast banking though I'm west coast tech. It's odd, but nobody can actually complain. The big stompy boots and all black outfits come out when I'm helping to throw a goth/industrial event. The sportsball jersey and jeans is great for watching sports and the nearly destitute look comes out for playing sports.
I know some people put on different personalities for different groups, but I kinda love it when worlds collide. Getting day business drunk with business people, running into some friends, and winding up at an industrial night with some suits led to some good stories on both sides. Having a sportsball game run late on the same day I was having a goth party turned into a really fun night. The jocks and goths didn't really separate and everyone seemed to have so much fun chatting and joking with everyone else. As much as I love working from home, I'm really looking forward to doing up more than two buttons on my top and seeing people in real life again.
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

After being absent for nearly a decade, Second Sight is back on Steam! I'm going to assume it feels pretty dated at this point, but it's also dirt cheap and a nifty little sci-fi thriller where you get to run around with psychic powers, from the guys who made Timesplitters. I'd definitely recommend picking it up while it's still available.
I have an 86 year old woman named Yanly in my party that was part of the founding members of the team. Her husband retired, all her friends are either retired or fallen in combat. Her rival Arilina just sacrificed herself for the good of mankind. Her daughter is still active, so they are pretty much Battle Besties.
I guess Yanly is still kicking because she received the gift of the fire spirits and is now part Fire Elemental. She cant hold a weapon anymore because her hands are constantly on fire but she can shoot fire and punch fire and generally just set things on fire.
Prooooobably not, but I don't think this would be the first time it's temporarily appeared on Steam before being yanked without any forewarning. Better to be safe than sorry if it's a game that interests you.
So I wake up this morning to an e-mail and green envelope!
*shakes fist at random avatar* Thank you @Karoz for the game Cozy Grove. I JUST put that on there to possibly buy since I needed a fun chill random game to cheer me up when I'm not using Breath of the Wild as a crutch. This (along with @ElementWrath 's avatar) did cheer me up on a rather random weird week where my wife and I swore we heard our dog in the house again.
