Thanks for the heads up, did not know that. Fixed.
Everything I found points to it being an actual altercation where they choked a fan down for bothering them at their local bar. No one seems to be saying anything else so nothing came of it, it's just been camped in the back of my mind as Miller popped up on The Stand and Invincible.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!
Hours after the episode aired, a statement written on Morrissey’s behalf by his manager, Peter Katsis, appeared on the singer’s Facebook page, calling the show “hurtful and racist”.
“Surprising what a ‘turn for the worst’ the writing for The Simpsons TV show has taken in recent years,” the statement reads. “Poking fun at subjects is one thing … but when a show stoops so low to use harshly hateful tactics like showing the Morrissey character with his belly hanging out of his shirt (when he has never looked like that at any point in his career) makes you wonder who the real hurtful, racist group is here.
thoughts on Lost, relationship stuff, I guess spoilers for the whole series
it's sort of a shame that they can't help themselves with the melodrama between them because early on Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly do a pretty good job selling that early romance primarily by just...having the characters seem happy to spend time together, like, they just legitimately seem to enjoy each other's company which gives them some nice, easy chemistry. And then they spend way too much time drawing out their backstories and making them really obstinate and vaguely shitty, which undercuts a lot of the love triangle they were trying to build, and then they put Sawyer and Juliet together and it's just like, "I guess Jack and Kate sort of deserve each other." And I like those characters more than most.
it's weird how rough that love triangle/quadrangle is because there are a lot of really good romances in this show, and the best episode of the show is centered around Desmond & Penny, and...well, I dunno!

Watching the first episode of Mare of Easttown (HBO, crime, fading small town and melancholic female detective) and I already understand why reviews were setting off fireworks over Kate Winslet's acting, and not just the part where she bothered to learn the Delco accent, i.e. the increasingly rare Philly signifier most series and actors don't even attempt to pin down. The setting is phenomenally depicted too - despairing but somehow cozy interiors, the mood-setting music is chosen well and the characters are immediately sympathetic and real.

True, but generally folks seem to have a lot of scorn for the HIMWM ending, and Hillary Duff isn't really a household name these days so I'm not sure how much of a draw she'll function as.

Unless the show is just that Lizzie MacGuire sequel series that Disney+ canned with the serial numbers filed off, I don't see how this will manage to land well with anyone, as it's tying itself to one of the top three worst tv finales of all time.

because it's hard to do and also it sounds terrible (the accent itself, i haven't seen hers)
i've been out of philly for 10 years and i can't pull the accent if i try, it only comes out when i'm angry
it takes a lot of conviction

She's still quite popular amongst the Freeform/TV Land set.
Her show Younger is in its 7th season and still kicking.
Why do we ever let the marketing folks get near the internet?
Edit: It doesn't even make sense! A zombie tiger in Las Vegas would be a former Mirage/Siegfried and Roy performing tiger OR a Mike Tyson tiger.

I am surprised about how well HIMYM was talked about in that article, but I think it’s actually a strong concept as long as they don’t make the same mistakes as the original. Ie. a terrible ending, problematic characters and the fact that it went on for too long.

Fun Fact: The CGI zombie tiger in Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead was modeled on a real tiger owned by — wait for it — Carole Baskin!
I think I may disagree on how fun this fact is!
It's extremely weird to me when someone comes away with an opinion on Tiger King that's not "all these people (but especially the dude with the weird harem) need to be fired into the sun."

It's like, are we even watching the same show?
I haven't watched the show but the vibe I got from everyone who did was that everybody agreed she was a murderer. So that's really weird.
I have to assume they were writing the episode and were sitting there like, "alright, it's supposed to be sad that Boone dies, right? How in the hell do we make people sad that Boone died," and Michael Giacchino was like "it's ok I'm about to weaponize music"
also I remember when I found out Ian Somerhalder went to the Vampire Diaries and people were like, "wow, he's really sexy and charismatic on that show! everyone loves him!" and I'm still pretty confused about that one actually

What a legend
But why?
Coran Attack!
Ratings and money, yo.
yeah this is definitely the reason, but I think they have perhaps mis-evaluated how enduring the popularity of that show is
who knows, maybe it's just everyone I know who soured on it
this is just salt in the wound for me, the big cadet kelly fan

anyway, we should nuke america

I'm American and 1000% we need the Nukes blowing us up first.
We're a fucking horrible, lying ass 1st world power.
Hell yeah! Chalk one up for a bunch of nerds being loudly obnoxious on the internet.
Just...ignore all those other ones, don't chalk those, put the chalk down don't look at those
In a show full of horrible, awful people, somehow, for some reason, all anyone ever talked about afterwards was the woman. It's a real mystery.
