The twin aquatic creatures and their levitating orb of pure water are inseparable. When the world’s natural balance is at stake they unleash their full potential!
I’m not gonna, but I think it’d be fun to create 150 monsters that I’m calling Ranugen. Might do a handful though.
Trippy effect on those lines! Did you paint it like that or is it some kind of filter?
I drew it in grey in Procreate on my tablet, then copied it many times into new layers. Once I’d done that I partly erased areas on each layer, then upped the saturation and hue at random.
I'm loving your work Endless! Super creative designs with the characters in particular.
Keep it up, I know it seems like we're in our own silos out here but it's important to reach out to the communities that we have.
Glad you like it! It’s my preferred by far; I think it just works, you know?
I’d have to figure a lot out about 3D model deformation and stuff, but I think it’s a simple visual indication of age, and the three sections (head, torso, bottom) growing with certain stats will help you pick the right pet for whatever task/mini-game they end up doing.
I have a few ideas for how such a game would go, but for now it’s just that doodle.
That's cool that you dabble in a lot of things though, that means that you have a lot of different experiences to draw and learn from. I could stand to learn a bit more from that myself, probably a bit too focused.
I still really want to make a sheet of pixel art for a knock-off multiplayer Legend of Zelda (with no intention of making it). This is just a reminder post for me, no need to read it.
Four unique but similar heroes.
Four unique princess type characters.
A wise mentor.
Three villagers.
A collectible item, like a Triforce.
Three different tree sizes.
Basic ground tiles, and water.
A bat enemy, or similar.
A slime, or similar.
A grunt enemy.
A boss.
The main villain.

Choose a team of three!
Still gonna do Zelda-like pixel art soon!

Watch this space...
I might have another go tomorrow.

Did you ever play one of them pet breeder games? Like Chao Garden or just one of those now lost free games made in GameMakerTM?
I think about them sometimes.
What if one of those pet breeding games but they were palm trees / bugs with dreadlocks?

The closest I’ve ever got is a prototype rogue-like that was a bit like Pac-Man. It’s lost to time I’m afraid.
