You have to reach over the heat sources to turn down the heat

    That's not ideal

My first apartment in grad school came with a stove exactly like this:
    srjheloyfgup.png

Instead of dials, each burner had a series of push buttons for different heat settings.

haha I posted this a couple of weeks back. It may have been.

I actually came across FWO before Live at the Necropolis though. I think it's a legit cool song - granted I fucking love synths.

Castlevania was a lot better than what the first season led me to expect.

Not that the first season was bad. It just left me feeling kinda underwhelmed.

The first season of Castlevania is basically all setup and prologue for season two, which is the real first season and where the story really kicks into gear.

S3 is a bit of a lull, I really liked the humor of S1 and S2. Oddly, by S4 the people I cared the least about to start I cared the most about, and vice versa.

Season 2 Isaac is...decent. He has good moments, but his reserve means that he needs more room to shine than the plot gives him.
Season 3-4 Isaac is magnificent. Everything from his otherworldly fightscenes to his philosophical debates with flydemon. Which I think were intended to be some kind of antithesis to the qu'ran revelations. Instead of preaching to the desert spirits, isaac engages nightcreatures (and sorcerors and witches) in dialogue; and from them gains insight and purpose.

Season 2 Isaac is boring as wood.

Season 3 he gets character development.

    S4
He becomes the most interesting person and the only one to have real, actual growth by the end. Having moved beyond his lust for revenge and forgiven Hector.

Season 2 Isaac at least has that bro moment with Dracula near the end.

Also it seems like a bit of a wink when Carmilla refers to him as "The least interesting man in Dracula's castle".

I knew the maps were wrong in the show but I just assumed it was a "hey old maps were good enough for navigating but they're pretty jank compared to the real world" situation. Especially when she pulled out the world map.

Cool but until electric stoves stop being shit I'm going to keep sucking on this gas stove tailpipe. Also get a good hood if you have a gas stove, not some garbage microwave vent.

They already stopped being shit, it's called induction, they said it in the video.

Also when is the last time you used an electric stove. I cook on one every goddamn day and I promise it has not effected my cooking at all.

Where is the electricity coming from?

Unless you're over 50% solar, chances are natural gas is still greener than running current through your house to power an induction burner.

    It doesn't matter?

An electrical grid is an infinitely more efficient use of burning gas and easier to make green than burning open gas in your home.

This is patently false. We lose about 40% of the power generated when transmitted long distance over power lines.

    A) That's what smart grids are supposed to fix
    B) I have never heard this number before, got a source?

I don't really understand the rise of kpop. Granted, I haven't actually looked that closely.

But it just seems so... soulless and corporate?

Like a lot of the time the performers just look kind of bored. Like they've done this dance routine so many times it's no longer any fun.

And there are so many of them. Like... replaceable parts in a dance-troupe machine.

    Maybe I'm just getting old.
