I really dig the charcoal and/or chalk aesthetic you have going on Acadia! That's probably not even the right term to describe it, but I really do love it. Mind if I ask what program/ medium you are using?
Love the depth of field you capture in that latest piece, and the purple-y forest colors on the one before that are just fantastic.
Thank you for the kind words! I’m using Procreate on an iPad, but I’m using it the same way I’d ever used photoshop (which I haven’t used since I got this iPad, and I’m questioning whether I need a computer now). The charcoal looking brush is the 6b pencil. The depth of field effect was a perspective blur on the background layer, centered on the little guy in the middle
Hoo boy I sure do go a long time between drawing or painting or anything at all.
Here's another drawing from ages ago that I'm trying to color/update with new knowledge. I feel like there's a lot missing that I haven't yet accounted for. Goop bubbles from the movement and dripping at least. There's a lot of still surviving original sketch in this, which maybe I should redo
@Bubster Wolf thanks! I’m hoping to do a little coherent storyline here soon. Just testing out stuff right now! Doing figure studies too, here’s the best of the bunch from tonight. I keep guessing on anatomy in my unreferenced drawings and doing it poorly so now is the time to study again I guess. NSFW technically
Yeah I don’t picture Star Wars as a particularly clean environment, so the grit works. Though I should probably branch out some more, I use this brush a ton.
nsfw i believe
we’re finishing up a dnd game, so i’m doing an illustration to commemorate it. we’re quietly dance-marching through the jungle to the beat of the halfling bardbarians bongo drums
yeah colour is scary! i've only been colouring my stuff the last three or four years so it's where i have the most doubts with my own work! using the colour picker tool on a bunch of my favourite artists really made me realize even crazy colours work if the piece is consistent! really dig your stuff man, the star wars pieces and the bear piece especially! looking forward to more!

I never know how long to spend on these. This is based on a sketch from years ago:
I’m sorry.
More Star Wars rpg character portraits! Early version of the Chandra fan:

a new one and some fixes on an old one, but i think maybe i insanely oversaturated it. I just wanted it to look like dusk or near sunset or whatever
That looks amazing
i can't believe it's already been a year. this year my niece asked for pandas
