It's a little stand/charger for my old webcam. It has a ton of glaring flaws, but it's my first painting with reference, and it took me only 10 minutes, so I'm pretty happy with it.
I couldn't find a good picture of what it really looks like, so here's this:
For my character animation class we had to do some actual hand drawn stuff. Basically we had to take a character that an actor portrayed, cartoonify it, and then do a 360 view of it. I chose Walter from The Big Lebowski. Suits the thread title pretty well.
Yeah, it's pretty choppy. It's my first hand draw animation, and I wasn't really too sure about what I was doing. Any tips on how I could make it seem like he's not sliding around?

Draw a line of symmetry down your character. (right between the eyes, dividing everything in half). Keep this center-line stationary as he's turning around.
As an example, his head is moving all over the place right now. It's clear that his head isn't being centered.
Also, when doing an all-around thing with somebody standing like that, the distance between the feet will be widest when he's facing the viewer, or when his back is to the viewer. The distance will stretch out, go down to no space (side-view) and then stretch out again.
Zeph, it looks like a giant carrot on his back. If that is what you were going for then awesome. I dig the bear
Thank you for the compliment on the bear. That's supposed to be a sold gold rocket on his back, but I know I fucked it up and made it look much more like a carrot. I just didn't want to go for the whole stereotypical fins-on-the-side-red-cone rocket design you see in every cartoon.

A practice sketch that I decided to ink. I didn't notice the head was wayyy too low until after I'd inked his head and shoulders. The trigger guard on his gun's borked too, and his left ankle got messed up during inking. Not happy with how I rendered his left foot either..
Relatively quick thing done for Illustration class. A lot of things are fucked in the picture, but one thing I'm very proud of is the fact that I didn't use a reference for the body! Woo! Totally rushed the hands and feet. And the face looks off, I know. etc etc I suck blah blah.
The position of her legs seems a little odd. I tried replicating it, one knee in front of the other, and its pretty uncomfortable.
I tried doing it and my balls smashed together and it was super painful.
It also looks like she's hovering slightly above the seat - but for not using a ref. that's super impressive. I can't make an end product look that good.
I entered this with a flawed approach and now I'm paying for it. Chuckin it to scrap bin for a week before I finish it, but at least I got the face done.

If I wasn't so damn busy, this could have been a challenge.

We had to add "surreal elements" to an illustration depicting a cardinal sin, and have symbolism. Hopefully you can tell which sin I picked.
blugh
It's also probably too dark because I can't tell values on my damn monitor which tilts and then completely changes the values of everything
Yeah, I had trouble with that but didn't really have the time to fix it. I agree they're weird.
Also, it's just been pointed out to me that her feet are on the wrong legs. HA!
So............yes. O_o

It requires only 300 batteries and will maintain a full charge for 6 seconds!

Crits welcome. I plan to color it after I finish the details and such.
