Been giving this dungeonsynth/ambient album a listen to today and I'm really liking it. Got a nice dark & gloomy vibe to it that I might use for the next time I run a game of D&D. And of course while I'm driving to work and it's still dark outside, maybe rainy or with a light fog.
On the opposite end of the musical energy spectrum is a song from a one-man-band I recently discovered called Methwitch. I don't know if the witch makes and sells meth, or maybe they're made out of meth, but I do know this is some deathcore with ADHD on a methamphetamine bender. Just absolute wall of sound, and those whistle screams are something I had never heard before and didn't know they were possible (I only know they're called that because of the comment section)
Been going back to Wolfmother's 2009 album Cosmic Egg.
Such a crunchy, groovy album. Not much of their newer stuff has really hit with me but that album dips just far enough into like, their Black Sabbath roots and is a shade darker and I really enjoy it.
Edit: which, to be fair, Victorious is their only other album they've put out since Cosmic Egg. So that one didn't really stick for me. But those first two albums fuckin rule.
Double edit: one of my favorite Wolfmother adjacent songs is a team up with Andrew Stockdale and Slash.
That whole album is star packed with some absolutely killer tracks. Chris Cornell, Adam Levine, Lemmy, Miles Kennedy, fuckin Fergie, Ozzy, dude from A7X, Iggy Pop.
The Lemmy track is the most fuckin Lemmy thing ever and I love it. Miss that ridiculous old bastard.

I know but I was curious as why was it played now as in personally or at work or?
As I showed Cherry Flavored Funk to a few people at work and they had heard nothing like it before now they are looking for similar shoe gazing styles as I told them it was a thing in the early 90's you might find people on Bandcamp but again it's rare
Two days ago Lorna Shore and Slaughter to Prevail both dropped new albums, and a day or two before that Axiom Verge 2 released and I picked up it's soundtrack too, so it's been a good week for music for me.
It was just like, "By the way, we're releasing today!" and I was so fuckin pissed because I had been at work for like an hour and had to wait 11 more before being able to pick it up
There's a new Sepultura album out and I'm listening to it now. It's got a lot of cool people on there. Ian Scott, David Ellefson, Matthey Kichi Heafy, etc
