    I like Deathloop a lot. I do.
But I'm at this point where
I basically need to hit the Complex as a matter of course to direct the power to different parts of the island and it's making the game feel like such a slog.

FYI, there are multiple generator rooms and you can power up multiple locations at once (there's a manual dial on the switch panel), letting you get access in a single day. And you only need to visit those unlocked places the one time, so you really shouldn't need to visit the complex more than a couple times.

Public service announcement for getting all the Complex generators up that it took me entirely too long to realize: you can sneak up on mines to disable them.

Finished it. I like it, but I still prefer the Dishonored games.
    The ending:
Made me wish I was playing a RPG with dialog choices. If this was something like Planescape or even Mass Effect, I could see an option to talk Juliana around by asking her why she wants Colt to break the loop. When she says she doesn't, you could counter with the fact that she directly threatened Colt to try to break the loop when he'd forgotten he wanted to.
Move on to the fact that she was so frustrated that he'd forgotten because he'd become like everyone else; doing the same thing every single loop. She needed some random element to make life in any way interesting, but she balks at the idea of everything being unpredictable because it's too much for her.
She wants him break the loop, but she's also scared of what might happen when he does.

Nobody remembers the singer. The song remains.

I have a question about the way you can kill two of the visionaries at once:
is there not a way to like...stop the flooding, or make it so it doesn't flood? Also is there a way out for you that isn't dying?

It just seems like a weird setup, I still can't see what the "right" way to do it is. If you aggro them, it floods. If you make it up to the switch, it floods, there's no way to stop it, and also seems like there's no way out?

I know this is a while ago but there is a trivial way of doing this:
Nexus them together and shoot Fia in the head with a sniper rifle. Instant kill, two slabs, 20k residium and a bunch of trinkets.

The facility does NOT flood this way.

I have to say, playing as Julianna gives me an all new appreciation for Blink from Dishonored. It's terrifying having to deal with someone who can appear anywhere and has considerably more upward mobility than you do.

I have sadly not been given the Shift Slab yet, so I've not been able to counter shift to this tactic. Fortunately, for whatever reason a fair number of colt players just charge you with shift + a machete. This is ridiculously easy to kill/counter with the shotgun, mind leech and hipster. Just go back shooting and if you wing them once or twice they will end up without enough energy for the last shift. The confusion will result in a guy slowly trying to charge you while you just wail on them with the shotgun until death. A solid initial hit and the tactic is entirely over and you'll get an easy free kill. I think that this is what at least one guy in a video above tries to do, but he gets fooled by my Masquerade and shot in the face for the trouble :P

Edit: Wish it would give me shift already. You feel at a huge disadvantage vs. Cole without it. The fact they can be much more mobile and get to hard to reach roofs makes all the difference vs. good players. Turns out rewards are random and I may not ever get shift, which makes fighting good Coles very very hard.

Karnesis is also a decent counter to shift.

(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.

Using Karnesis with it's aoe upgrade to yeet them both at the same time will also avoid the flooding. You loose the resources from killing em that way, but on the flipside it's a very simple and deeply funny way to solve things!

Ideas hate it when you anthropomorphize them

Karnesis is also a decent counter to shift.

I complained about it and literally two seconds later the game gave me it.

    The system works!!!

I already have Karnesis but it’s not able to get you into the position you need to be. In the videos above those players largely didn’t use shift to their advantage that well and I spotted them first. Good players with Shift are hard to see first and can be anywhere, while I can’t keep up or get into the same spots without huge effort.

    Now I can be anywhere!

Edit: I am only lacking a health upgrade and my invasion set up is good to go.
