I firmly believe that making us picking Maryland/Rutgers means there should have been at least two sickos games of the week.
My entire rationale for including that was basically "oh hey, they're the two teams the Big Ten invited to get the Washington, DC and New York City DMAs and they're playing on Thanksgiving weekend, so..."
If you're wondering why I spent absolutely zero space talking about the actual football game that UCF will be playing on Friday against Temple Terrace Univ - I mean, USF - it's because sometimes real life events have a better potential for disparaging your rival.
Plus, a cadre of dedicated USF fans (yes, no one is more surprised than me that they have those) continue to stubbornly insist that Brett McMurphy's reporting on Genshaft blocking UCF is based on conjecture and hearsay, which does nothing to detract from the fact that it's really funny how things turned out for both schools anyway, and I think it's important that we advocate for truth in all things.
Also: UCF's going to kick their asses, and that's a much shorter story than "Local University President torches entire athletic department's future prospects in a fit of pique."
I *think* they’re #3 in raw sp+, they’re not just a resume (read: undefeated vs cupcakes)* squad, Bill Connelly’s algos might have them favored vs Bama
Fuck, the Tuscaloosa sports beat reporter, Cecil Hurt, died yesterday. He was only 62. Followed him actively since I was in college. He was still completely plugged in to all of their sports stuff, really good guy.

I have heard that Finebaum -fucking Finebaum - was in tears or close to crying during his entire show yesterday.
It shows how much of an impact Cecil Hurt had, and how beloved he was

@Heartfinder and @Munkus Beaver letting y'all know that you haven't submitted yet and the deadline to have all games count is 3:30 PM Eastern today, Thanksgiving Day.
Not to turn this into an Alabama thread, but I thought this section of Saban’s radio show was a pretty good summation of toxic fandom and the need to shut the fuck up, maybe. He’s being specific to Alabama fans but is pretty universal when a program has sustained success.
Tucker signed that insane extension MSU offered him.

If you can re-submit soon I can give you credit for everything other than Fresno-San Jose, which kicked about 30 minutes ago.
I can’t, but I can say I’d pick Ole Miss tonight over Miss State
Word. As I've advised people, posting on the forums is a valid backup if the form doesn't got through for whatever reason. Also, tomorrow games will start at noon Eastern.
I think Iowa got fucked there, that looked like a catch to me. Now we have a young qb in his first start running a play from the 1 and that makes me just a bit nervous
Smothers managing the offense well so far. He was the big question mark for me. A little luck on that lost Iowa fumble as well because they were hammering it down the field.

Picking Rutgers here was probably the easiest pick for me

RIP you absolute legend
Yes that is absolutely the best part
“When I got here, you were happy if we won a game” lol
We really were, too. I was in school for the Shula years, and grew up in the wastes after the 92 championship. It was…a bad time.

SNOW BOWL II! SNOW BOWL II!
(I mean it won’t actually be very much snow, but still!)
16-15 Iowa on a missed PAT feels about right.
I'm getting that old familiar feeling
Guess we’re blaming you for this particular one.

Jesus take the wheel, this ride's heading off the cliff.
Followed by "I said hey...what's going on" as the review dragged on
I really did intend for the “so far” to do all the lifting for that post
I mean, is anyone surprised that Nebraska is going to turn a is-the-better-team performance into a 1-score loss?
Could really have gone either way but Nebraska's suck was just too powerful for even Iowa to overcome lol
-1 point differential
3-9 with I think a +62 differential on the season
Every loss on the season was a 1-score loss
