Something I'm noticing about Kyougu's posts is not only he wearing fashionable clothes, he's posing in fashionable places.

I really want to get some awesome ass boots, but I've never really found a pair that a) look badass on their own and also b) would work with any kind of outfit that I could actually pull off

    Someday...

I had a Cabela's brand knockoff/reproduction of Red Wings, not quite logger boots, that were very nice, they lasted about five years.

These looks nice, aside from hopefully clueless dumbass writer waxing nostalgia about them originally being made in Virginia before the Civil War presumably with literal slave labor

Seeing as I only have one hoodie and I hate it, does anyone have recommendations for a basic-ass zip up hoodie, or at least a brand? The one I have now has, like, an elastic wrist and waist and the waist ends up either catching my shirt and bunching up, or my t-shirt is slightly longer than the hoodie itself and I just look sloppy.

This would be for work, so I don't need something super nice, just something I can wear while occasionally doing some physical labor.

I’ve bought SO many hoodies in my life, including some of those $100 buy it for life type ones (like the 100 year hoodie, etc), and honestly my two go-tos are cheap Target hoodies (if you only need it to last a season or two but only wanna drop $20), or Carhartt (if you want something fucking bulletproof with a flawless zipper that’ll never fail you).

Size down on the carhartt if you want a slim fit, though. They run big.

Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

Thanks! Probably gonna bite the bullet and buy the Carhartt.

I miss being younger and just wearing a band hoodie from a show, but those fall apart quick. At least the Carhartt will last, and it comes with the added bonus of annoying a couple jerks on our construction team.

Hard to go wrong! Reigning Champ does some very nice ones too, but they’re often about double the price of Carhartt and roughly the same quality. Made in Canada though, if that’s important to you!

Please pick my fit for tonight.

Black palm tree button up tucked in? Love this shirt but its a little more summery which its currently not. But the sun is out. Kind of hard to do with a jacket but I think I've got one that would work.

I think the sleeves of the thermal really straining and stretching over your arms accentuates the form by adding nice contour lines.

Did Hugo Boss make clothes for the concentration camps?

Not that it's a competition or anything.

    I mean...
That same year (1931), Hugo Boss became a member of the Nazi Party, receiving the membership number 508 889, and a sponsoring member ("Förderndes Mitglied") of the Schutzstaffel (SS). He also joined the German Labour Front in 1936, the Reich Air Protection Association in 1939, and the National Socialist People's Welfare in 1941. He was also a member of the Reichskriegerbund and the Reichsbund for physical exercises. After joining these organizations, his sales increased from 38,260 RM ($26,993 U.S. dollars in 1932) to over 3,300,000 RM in 1941.[8] Though he claimed in a 1934–35 advertisement that he had been a "supplier for National Socialist uniforms since 1924", it is probable that he did not begin to supply them until 1928 at the earliest. This is the year he became a Reichszeugmeisterei-licensed supplier of uniforms to the Sturmabteilung (SA), Schutzstaffel, Hitler Youth, National Socialist Motor Corps, and other party organizations.

By the third quarter of 1932, the all-black SS uniform was designed by SS members Karl Diebitsch (artist) and Walter Heck (graphic designer). The Hugo Boss company was one of the companies that produced these black uniforms for the SS. By 1938, the firm was focused on producing Wehrmacht uniforms and later also uniforms for the Waffen-SS.

During the Second World War, Hugo Boss employed 140 forced labourers, the majority of them women. In addition to these workers, 40 French prisoners of war also worked for the company briefly between October 1940 – April 1941. According to German historian Henning Kober, the company managers were fervent National Socialists who were all great admirers of Adolf Hitler. In 1945, Hugo Boss had a photograph in his apartment of him with Hitler, taken at the Berghof, Hitler's Obersalzberg retreat.

They have a cushy removable insole and parts of them are slightly padded, so not "regular" Converse.
For some reason Converse say they come out large and you should size down half a size but I always have to size up at least 1 size compared to shoes from other brands for them to be comfortable.

That’s wild. I have to size down anywhere from a half to a full size usually from my normal shoe size to be able to wear chucks.

The newer ones with the foam insoles are way more wearable than the old school ones though.
