Yeah it changes a lot of the rules that apply to it. Importantly it IS A CREATURE, which means it's now vulnerable to different removal, including wraths.

It SHOULD die with zero loyalty mind you, because it would be a creature with 0/0 for its stats. So you would need to put at least one +1/+1 effect on it to keep it alive at 0 loyalty

It's difficult to tell if it's good, but it is weird in a way that opens up a lot of shenanigans. And shenanigans are their own reward.

Yeah a Shield counter would (temporarily) keep it alive.

That effect gets more weird every time I look at it. "Is a creature in addition to its other types"? Planeswalkers infamously have no other card types; Karn's not an artifact, Calix isn't an enchantment, etc..

    Sure, but that's a subtype.

A planeswalker subtype. And since it's no longer a planeswalker, it's no longer a Karn.
205.1a: Some effects set an object's card type. In such cases, the new card type(s) replaces any existing card types. Counters, effects, and damage marked on the object remain with it, even if they are meaningless to the new card type. Similarly, when an effect sets one or more of an object's subtypes, the new subtype(s) replaces any existing subtypes from the appropriate set (creature types, land types, artifact types, enchantment types, planeswalker types, or spell types). If an object's card type is removed, the subtypes correlated with that card type will remain if they are also the subtypes of a card type the object currently has; otherwise, they are also removed for the entire time the object's card type is removed. Removing an object's subtype doesn't affect its card types at all.

Note that because it is "no longer a planeswalker" certain rules no longer apply to it: damage does not remove loyalty counters, and it can no longer be attacked directly

Although you may still activate one loyalty ability on your turn per the normal rules. (EDIT: Which, if I had paid attention, it says in reminder text.)

Weird effect. Odd that it doesn't specify base p/t as 0/0.

That's because other creatures can also equip it, and I guess they maybe figured the line of text explaining that a planeswalker so equipping it was base toughness 0/0 wasn't worth the space or was self-evident?

Or maybe there's a rule we don't know about hidden in the rulebook somewhere that if an effect changes another card type into a creature and doesn't specify a base power/toughness, because the original card doesn't have a base power/toughness it's automatically 0/0?

Hmm. Yeah, this might cover that:
208.5: If a creature somehow has no value for its power, its power is 0. The same is true for toughness.

I searched for "base power" before.

This seems... pretty bad, especially at rare? Treasure generation is nice, but this actively anti-synergizes with any treasures deck, so it's mostly a mana dork with a fallback mode of "hurt yourself for 2, ramp 2 in 2 turns" which is also pretty underwhelming when we've had multiple very easy "this guy just makes two mana" dorks lately!

    Vampire Rogue
When Handsome Outlaw enters the battlefield, it deals 2 damage to each opponent and you scry 2.

    decreasethepopulation.jpg

    Sorcery
Each player that controls a multicolored creature draws a card. Then destroy all creatures.
    hostiletakeover.jpg
    Hostile Takeover
    2UBR
    Sorcery
Up to one target creature has base power and toughness 1/1 until end of turn, and up to one other target creature has base power and toughness 4/4 until end of turn. Then Hostile Takeover deals 3 damage to all creatures.

Yeah, holding the treasure to rush a big play is interesting. Turn 5 you could lose 4 to have 8 mana up. Seems like a fair mana dork to me overall.

Very clever way to combine green and red mana acceleration effects.

I'm very unclear what the angel cards are supposed to represent. Did the story swerve at the last minute to not have some big reveal of angels still existing, or is the implication that some guys juice on halo so hard they temporarily act like angels?

The minor continuity error of "Elspeth is running around with Giada's sword before that transformation happens" also points to some sort of last minute switcheroo.

The philosophical intersection of Red and Green comes from a combination of gradual growth and decisive action. How do you represent these values?

Why is the wording "when it connives this way"? Is it because conniving can be prevented?
