The Holy Grail of Eris is also quite good. Drama centered around a relatively sheltered noble girl trying to save her family and getting into some deep shit about it, and a ghost linked to her that is a lady who is basically the exact opposite ot her in terms of nobility.
I just read through this, and it's great when it's doing the main plot or the other subplots directly related to Connie, but I think it could do with a lot less of the secondary/tertiary plots, there is just too much to keep track of, and it feels like there's a couple of new characters get introduced pretty much every chapter. Reading it all in one solid go I could just about keep up, but I am pretty confident that reading it as it gets released I'm going to be totally lost.
All that said, I continue to be a big sucker for:
so I am definitely in it to watch that happen.
Unrelated, but worth a look: "Ah, My Job-Hunting Goddess" is a spinoff of Ah, My Goddess -- I've not read the original but I know who the characters are anyway just through osmosis; this is a story about them trying to get jobs and Belldandy being bad at interviews. I'm not sure how accurately it reflects that actual Japanese job market but it's pretty lightweight fun.
(edit, oh, and the latest Nozaki-Kun had me laughing so much I had to try and explain why it's funny to people within earshot, which is _not_ particularly easy given how much context is going on there)

The manga absolutely gives me the feeling that it's going to be one of those things where there's like four separate plots going on at the same time until they all crash together in a gigantic mega-clusterfuck.
I have no trouble keeping up, but I was raised by reading fantasy novels in a library that had a ton of missing parts of series so I got pretty good at both extrapolating things from context and remembering characters that haven't appeared in a while.
On Animenagerie S tonight we watched the first Thunderbolt Fantasy movie.
It was mostly a prequel film establishing that if someone wants to kill the Gale, they probably have a good reason for it, but then it decided to shift into being an epilogue episode to Season 1, and then shifted into a teaser for Season 2.
Fortunately we start Season 2 next weekend, I think.
The first half honestly annoys me in that at this point, it's 50/50 whether leaving the Gale alive is a good thing. Like he's no real argument here... a monster. A huge, huge monster. It's just that he mostly eats other monsters!
It's one of my main complaints with the series is that he's such a fucking terrible person overall.

Eh... I think he's a terrible person but monster may be pushing it, he doesn't really go around screwing with normal people, and he does generally reserve violence as a last resort.
On the other hand... he does have real issues with time and place for antics. (End of season 1)
He basically doomed the world there by toying around. Or you know, would have if not for the sword index.

yeah that's the part that I most remember when I remember graphic violence on children the camera loves to linger on
I kind of feel bad for whoever had to work on those scenes, imagine having to draw hundreds of key and inbetween frames of that.

an earlier line, during Kaido's introduction iirc? Bunch of different characters/the narrator basically said "if it's one versus one, Kaido's will win"
Well got back to my rewatch of YuYu Hakusho last week. Again, only a few parts that haven't aged well, the bits of transphobia the pop up two three time IIRC, not that those were good to begin with. Also some of the sexual harassment crap.
I think what's hurting the rewatch right now, is that the Dark Tournament saga was really damn good and the Chapter Black saga starts out kind of meh and IIRC it was the weakest of the four sagas.
Dark Tournament was a prime example how to do a tournament arc in a way that remains interesting throughout the entirety

If you pretend that YuYu ended after the first Dark Tournament I would say it holds up surprisingly well even for kids who are more accustom to modern stuff.
I like that even with the ability to ask one another out, they both utterly fail at the task. And also outside of the show's context Fujiwara would actually be pining after Shirogane.

The publisher also lists some other places where the ebook can be bought

I haven't tried buying anything from Comixology after Amazon fucked it, but it does seem very bad overall at the moment.

Also good?
Loid’s backstory goes so much fucking harder than it has to and has maybe the rawest line of text I’ve read in a while
That’s gonna be cool as hell next season

Yea. In light of current events, I did not expect it to go as hard as it did.
Cool, I'm going to start buying the ebooks then.

How does English Anya do? Because Japanese Anya is really good.
God I just love this series. It's so silly and funny and melancholic and cute.

I checked out a few clips, and it seems fine. Probably something I'd get used to after an episode or two.
I've only seen clips cuz the dub is Crunchyroll exclusive, but the clips I've seen make it sound good
I do like Loid and Yor more than Anya, but Anya's still doing a good job
