Trick with warrior is its jumping attacks are actually completely op. They're basically skills property wise. Heavy attack does multiple attacks for very good damage, and the light attack has great stun/knockdown/stagger (it will flatten things, repeated use will knock down larger enemies, stupendous range, decent damage and can allow a warrior to "float" mid air to cover more distance out of a jump. Warrior is actually super active!
I actually spent a hell of a lot of time doing jump attacks. Do enough of them (for example jumping lights on a drakes heart) and it gets stunned, goes down, and you have enough time to charge an arc of deliverance to hit its heart by the time it gets up. It goes down again. You can repeat.
Whenever anything takes a swing you use the iframe swing skill attack (just the first swing, that's where all the iframes are) to outright ignore it, then continue doing your jump attack bullshit.
So one of my primary skills was actually the striders increase to jump attack damage augment thingy (forgot what the game calls these things).
That thing did work.
Also if you specialise in warrior you have all the hit points and only 1 less point of damage per level than an assassin.
There are a lot of things that have trouble killing you when you have 4-5k hitpoints, up to and including God. Meanwhile you still hit like a truck.

So I finally got around to playing this game on PlayStation 4. About half way through and so far It’s fantastic, took me a while to figure to figure out why my pawn was acting like a tremendous idiot. But better late than never.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Please be a sequel or a 4k remaster
As much as I have enjoyed the game, I have earned an the achievements on the 360 version and all the Trophies on the PS4 version. I am really hoping it's a new game. But Capcom loves to shit on beloved franchises so who the fuck knows.
I would do unthinkable deeds for the devil if it gave us a Dragon's Dogma sequel.

Sequel only!
Gimmmeee!
This was also listed on that big Capcom leak awhile back too right? And that leak was proven to be pretty accurate so ots likely they were/are working on a sequel and now we are just hoping it sees the light of day?
Didn't they say DEEP DOWN was never officially cancelled? If this anniversary is leading to a reveal of a sequel, that would be fantastic damn news. Personally, I feel the combat in Dragon's Dogma has that weight to it that your typical FromSoft fare lacks; hell the combat itself is much better than anything FS have done (other than SEKIRO which is more of a rhythm game with most of its boss encounters). And Bitterback Isle was an excellent endgame add-on that could be epic on current generation technology.
. . .a remaster/remake would be really disappointing but I'd still play it. Same with if, by some insane miracle, they resurrected DD: Online and brought it over to the West (still really upset that that wasn't given a chance here).

That was Yoshinori Ono's project, not from Itsuno IIRC. He left Capcom a while ago. DD and SF V were funded by Sony.
Well, SF V was a mess at launch and I can imagine what happened with DD.

I'm still going to have just a little nibble on this hopeium cake.
If my experience with The World Ends With You is any indication, you still have at least another five years of announcements of countdowns to rereleases and mobile ports and soundtracks before you have a chance at an actual sequel.
Someone on the Xbox thread pointed out it's on sale for $4.50 right now, and I snapped it up. Having a lot of fun, although post Elden Ring I kind of feel like every game needs a double-jumping horse. Especially this game. Christ there's a lot of running around.

Personally, I think that would hurt DD a lot. Back in the day one of the huge things about DD was how much more dangerous everything is at night. Having an easy way to run away from fights completely removes that sense of danger when you end up in the deep woods on a dark night with no idea what you might stumble into unknowingly.

Some rumination from a Japanese twitter user: "What if we get a VR Dragon's Dogma?"
I don't know about that.

Yup.
But it could be a VR game. A crappy one.
Or a mobile game. A good one.

Exclusivity agreements. Maybe Sony or MS.
Whatever. I don't have money for games anyway at the moment.

also fun fact they're counterprogramming Square's FF7 announcement stream lmao, they're both starting at 3 PM pacific
You can't be disappointed if you expect disappointment.
There is a Malcolm in the Middle image ready for more disappointment.
FF is a 10 minute thing iirc. Bet Capcom can make it shorter. :P
EDIT:
BTW, I saw this yesterday. Gives some Tower Griffon fight vibes.
It even has harpies. Wonder where they got that from.
