The concept of My Sweet Affection is extremely literal
It’s been thirty years since meteorites from space turned everyone on the Earth gay. In a world where heterosexuality no longer exists, Takanashi Kazusa falls for her childhood friend Ayumu–a boy.

Yeah sorry I was talking about a different story. I got confused since its the same publisher.
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
Oh and can't forget the time someone made a joke comic of the Emperor of Britannia's speech about human inequality, only applied to breast size, and then the Emperor's Japanese VA voiced the entire speech for laughs. It's still on Youtube but unless you can understand Japanese it probably won't be quite as funny.
I found it with subtitles, and without doing a line-by-line they looked pretty accurate to me. Not sure what the bilingual bonus is supposed to be other than the novelty of the VA using the same cadence/tone etc.
There was a point where I was following the Konosuba VAs (and also the Critical Role folks) which has led me to believe that all professional VAs are horny. I won’t be taking further questions at this time.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
I thought you were talking about The Whole of Humanity Has Gone Yuri Except For Me, but it turns out that's Yen Press.
Despite being tremendously predictable (and the way the world works is a bit iffy when I thought about it), the ending was cute and it was a fun read, so thanks for mentioning it!

It's one where I felt like the author probably had another volume of story left but was told to wrap it up, and did the best they could. At least it still ended well, though.
I just finished Revue Starlight episode 7 and would now encourage anyone who didn't get that far to at least give it a shot through this episode. Something interesting is happening, and personally I enjoyed the songs in episodes 5 and 6 a lot. Even the ED is changing every episode now, similar to Fly Me to the Moon.
It feels like Spy X Family is kinda glossing over how absolutely fucked in the head Yor must be.
What a delightfully ditzy... child... assassin... orphan.
I think its pretty clear shes was literally groomed for the job. Westalis is not a good place. The only reason it can be funny is because she truly believes shes doing something good
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

That and there seems to be a lot of "she only kills those who deserve it" energy.

So I'm just starting One Piece.
These early episodes suffer from 90's anime villain speeches really badly.
Oh, I thought they might get treated like real characters with emotional development and stuff.
But if it's just Japanese Loony Toons I shall adjust my expectations accordingly.

Yor's urge to murder people to solve problems easily is literally played as a joke
Manga spoilers
Given the most recent flashback chapters with Loid, we will almost certainly get more backstory on how Yor ended up becoming an assassin, but fundamentally it is a light hearted comedy series

According to CODA, the pay rates for FUNimation shows ranged from $35 to $75 per hour depending on the number of hours worked.
Well, that's a lot more than I expected, at least. (And more than teachers make, sadly. Hell, dispatchers don't make that.) I'm all for them getting some union representation going, though.
Early one piece DOES feel like it has the prose of Kenshin though, as does a lot of early shaman king
Oh, is that why the beginning of One Piece didn't gel with me that much? I read Kenshin as a kid/teen, it was emotionally compelling at the time but I've cooled off on it significantly. I guess I was subconsciously wary of stuff that looked similar?

Only initially! Endo has said that after two volumes he feels that the characters are established enough work in more long form storytelling
There's still gonna be gags but you can feel the tonal shift in the most recent chapters for sure
Yeah, I definitely see it taking that Dragon Ball path, from “gag series which sometimes goes hard” to “straightforward story with gag elements”
…I guess that could also be One Piece, or a lot of other shonen type stuff, but my childhood is rooted in Dragon Ball and early Dragon Ball is such a gag series

Apparently the Megumin spinoff novels are also getting an anime.
Sticking pretty closely to the comic's structure, but it must be said, choosing to preserve the ending where they do is very funny

Yeah he's a real shitbag and his sister kills people for a living so that takes a ton of effort
Best news I’ve heard in awhile. Those fuck ups make me irrationally happy.

Yeah, I know. These speeches sort of stand out even compared to other 90's anime I've watched though.

Do tell, I'm not knowledgeable enough about 90s manga series and authors to tell
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh WHAT
Oda was an assistant for the kenshin author, and is still noted friends with him even after the child porn charges
Watsuki also mentored other authors like the guy who did shaman king
Well yeah it's not like he did drugs or something
