Alright, so in my effort to resolve my problem I've tried the war-community@ea.com address, James Nichols and Missy Hatch at their respective personal addresses with no success yet.
Anyone have suggestions for how to proceed with littering in as many inboxes as I can? I don't really know who else to try to contact. Should I move on to the more creative types who are active in the fan community like Josh? Should I start sending PMs on the fansite forums?
It would almost be quicker to just win the damn contest again, but given my luck I'd probably be disqualified for (lol) already winning it.

Have you posted a thread in any forums that Mythic developers frequent? That might work better.
Hooray, today I put through a preorder for 3 copies of the game on Amazon.com, because Amazon.ca wont even let you preorder it... (I think I got boned on price since I paid $20 in tarriffs and $30 on shipping)
I dont understand this at all, but I seem to have to do all of my shopping off of the US site, since the CA site never has what I want.
The total came to $200 altogether, $50/copy of the game, then the $50 for shipping and tarriffs.
I got the 3 copies because my roommate is sorta hard up for money and I want him to play with me, and I want 2 copies for myself for a Black Orc / Shaman combo that I can play without worrying about what anyone else is doing. Also my best bud from College has a full time job + 2 kids, so I can always lend him my spare account so he can play / we can play together.
On another note:
I cant believe I am actually arguing with people on WHA on why /assist should be included in the game. The bunch of pussies seem to think that it will either be used as a crutch by the less skillful, or that skilled people will make /assist trains of doom and instant death.
literally a blob of characters would just come at you and steamroll.
They already said /stick wouldnt be in it, and as long as collision detection punishes the bunny hoppers I'm cool with that.
The /assist trains in DAOC were the easiest to counter if you had a good group, they had 1 guild gorup of 6 beat an assist train of 100+
AE Mez + AE Stun + AE damage = c-c-c-c-ombo breaker!
We used to roll with our mezzer running in first, and then the blob popping out from behind a tree or whatever (this was on Andred, so there was tons of hilarious PvP in places like Dartmoor). mmmmmmulti kill.
I thought I remember both /stick and /assist being considered, but not at all certain. Neither have been seen in public demos.
I personally think /stick is very much a crutch, and should not be included. /follow is all that is really needed.
/assist is also almost necessary. Without /stick, assist trains will not be nearly as bad, as the player will still have to move into melee range. So I guess it would still be a bit of a "problem" for ranged attackers.
Having /-commands is necessary for PvE. It's the RvR applications that people don't like. But I for one do not like having to hunt around on the screen looking for the correct target.
I imagine the people who dislike /-commands are the same who do not like using Tab or an F-key to cycle through targets. Those people apparently want to play an FPS.
Let's see how you death-metal-hating bitches like your crappy loot. While you grind away making pants for the guild listening to Fallout Boy or Avril or whatever the hell you types listen to.
Yeah. You heard me. Making pants.
Also, I always felt tab or hotkey targetting was sufficient for MMOs, with mousing good for really dense fights. Sure, you'll get the occasional misclick, but so will they.
That hurts my head.
But I think that sort of macro is a bit much. It lets you know who the mob/player is targetting. That's too much info IMO.
WAR will have dual-targetting, so that sort of macro should not be necessary anyway. As you can keep a group member targetted and have an enemy targetted at the same time.

My eyes still bleed randomly.
As they will when guild beta starts and I skip sleeping for a week to help earn more slots.
You open slots, we'll fill 'em. :winky:

Tried that a while ago on WHA before I started sending emails.
A "friendly" mod moved it into random banter and I doubt more than 10 people ever saw it, much less a dev.

I either assist off other, or manually click for that reason.

assist target
assist name
target assist's target's target (for healing)
etc.
That hurts my head.
