oh wow, macbook hard drives are easy as pie to change
That's how I managed to snag a MacBook for $20:
Guy accidentally swiped a magnet over his hard drive and killed his computer. He was ready to toss the computer in the trash but I swooped in. I swapped out the HD for a new one using a $100 gift card and $20 of my own money.
Best/easiest $20 I ever spent.

congrats, dude
what was the job, anyway?
I'll let you know after the interview. Getting to that point was the measure of whether or not your good karma had earned you a doll
Steam's a pretty wonderful service. Back when it first came out I kinda wanted to kill it and set Valve on fire for foisting it on me but eventually I warmed up to it.
I still hate Steam. I think it was just this Saturday, I wanted to play some HL: Source, and when I said "Launch," it decided to validate, instead. It'd get to 100% Validated, and the window would close, dropping me back to my games list. The entry for HL: Source would say "Validating: 100%" and just sit there. If I tried to launch it again, it'd just do the same thing.
Restarting the computer fixed it, but it was still another example of Steam being one of the most effective systems I've ever seen for keeping me from playing my games.

>5 taken by windows stuff, i think
Yes that is tiny
what's the total capacity of your HD?
75gb
there's about 26GB left on my mac partition
I had a hard drive as tiny as that once
It drove me out of my mind
Then I got a 200gb one
I felt so free
