Ya wave management is a black box at this elo to most people. nothing is funnier than getting pinged off the wave by the laner when we got a kill and should just be slamming and resetting
god forbid you lose a melee minion or whatever, better setup a horrible lane state instead and get you trapped by the enemy coming back with items and giving free kills
v annoying lol. I’m not great shakes at managing wave state but crash and recall is so simple

I think I'm going to uninstall this game again. When things are going well it can be pretty fun but the reality is that most of my games are just rife with toxicity and/or bots that make the whole thing a waste of time.
I basically play one match a day after my wife goes to bed and I find myself walking away from the game time feeling more frustrated than anything else. So, pretty much the antithesis of why I usually play games.

taking a break helps, i took a break for a couple months earlier this year and i'm enjoying it a lot more than i was before
still a ridiculous amount of toxicity and people just straight up afking/quitting (more in ranked than normals hilariously) but i mostly just play with chat off 90% of the time outside of aram

lillia is just so mana hungry, i need a lost chapter item first. even in the jungle with the insane free regen she can zero out in fights pretty easy without one.
riftmaker is more viable in top because you don't have to spam spells to clear camps and can go frozen heart early.
but even with liandries start you can get super tanky, i played a game yesterday against a mostly ad comp with 3 big lethality users that stomped us early but by endgame i had 300 armor and 3.3k hp, zed plus full combo ult pinged off me like i was ornn and i basically 3 shot him.
After The Cursed Day where I dropped to 49% wr I’m now back up to 54% and into gold 3.
God it’s not a carry pick unless you get stupid fed but full drain tank Lillia with a tear is just fantastic fun after playing more fragile set ups.
What does full drain tank entail? Like are you actually building riftmaker?
This match it was Seraphs into Rift into Banshee's veil because they had a shit load of CC and magic damage. Usually you'd put a frozen heart or some other armour item in first.
Riftmaker can work in the jungle but it's nicer top where your lack of clear speed isn't a damper. I tend to build this way when I'm top and either losing lane or trust my team. Start with a corrupting pot for mana issues.
It's nice for when all you need is to be able to obnoxiously threaten to run down squishies or ult any divers.
very nervous about my gold promos, this is exactly what happened to me last season where i got to my promos pretty quick then bounced off a couple times and never managed to make it over the hump before i gave up
edit: haha it's so fun that my taliyah mid literally inted the game and started casting her ult on me every time we were close and spam danced midlane whenever xin showed up because "you don't deserve gold" haha i love league of legends it's such a great game with no problems
Yeah the trick to promos is to treat them identically to your other matches.
If you’re still hitting 51+% win rate you’ll climb. It’s just a bit more frustrating because promos make it feel like a coin flip due to using a smaller set of matches.
I've been doubting whether I am capable of playing LoL anymore at all and it's like--uh wait no, if I play with a support who's on the same page as me, and a tank line, I do really very well.
Of course, being able to play in an organized team is not the same thing as being good at soloQ. So, maybe I'm just sort of bad right now at playing in the soloQ context around my particular elo band. I'll try more tomorrow though--those were some heartening games. Even the one where the enemy team banned against me Caitlyn, Jhin, Sivir, and Xayah lol (I played Kai'sa and uh may have slightly inted my lane but then bounced back and did well as soon as I got my mythic/as soon as I turned my brain on and stopped standing in Anivia stuns)

Lillia in general seems really strong these days for solo queue.
Your ult is worth less but still high impact and in return you're the AP version of the stat check bruiser but with enough MS to avoid dying to mistakes.

Well I swept my promos last night after the inter, one of the matches the other teams jg disconnected so I guess that was a fair trade.
Made it into gold 3 today, I don’t expect to get much higher than this but my lillia is still like 65% winrate so ride the train. Morde jg is also very effective. Tho I need to find another bruisery jg to play because morde is banned a lot, Warwick was working for me but now it has gone south and I’m just sprinting it in my games.
cho jungle is fun and plays a lil similarly to morde in the Big Punch Mans Slowly Walks At You
i went 12/5/1 on vi, pretty much the only reason we were in the game as every time i left lane every lane ran it down, even while dealing with absolutely zero mid prio because our annie was absolutely trash so shaco was in my jungle the entire game, whole team is saying to report me, jungle diff, dog, trash.
literally there is no amount of changes riot could ever make to jungle to ever make people want to play it, it's just absolutely the worst role by far because people in solo queue have absolutely no clue how the role works and if you're not winning their lane (and even if you do win their lane) it's your fault. everything they could ever do? your fault. sprint it 1v1 under tower? jungle should have been there. gank their lane when they're at 100% and their laner is at 10% and save them from dying? shit jungle, ksed my free kill.
and nobody is ever punished for any of it, but if i say anything to them about it i'll get chat restricted since everyone in the game will all report me, because everyone is always willing to pile on the jungler.
just the ultimate “I think it’s your fault because if it’s not your fault it’s my fault and I don’t like that” role

my last two ranked games i had autofilled mids in both and we just got obliterated through midlane. rough out there.
edit: lmao the last game i had my adc legit freaking out ping spamming me and just being an overall shit before i muted all yet again, all because they got killed by a level 4 karthus who literally just walked at them through the river. they were slammed up underneath enemy tower at 3 minutes with no vision, def my fault. oh also i was playing fiddle. a champ that barely even exists until level 6.
just so delusional. think i'm 3-17 now. league is fun you guys.

Look league employs a lot of very talented people but I don't think you can ever fix laner brain.

Clearing camps when jungle is fucking around doing other stuff is fine, clearing my entire bottom side when I’m pathing there and like 3 seconds away and it’s not even 20 minutes is fucked and a waste of resources because jungle gets more xp and gold

i didn't think losers queue exists but i've changed my mind after the last 2 weeks of playing this stupid video game
legit willed an 8k gold lead into existence, have soul point for 3 drakes, top laner splits on darius entire time, we lose every dragon fight, we force 50/50s for no reason for barons 4v5, we lose those too, kaisa 2 fights in a row Rs into their entire team and gets blown the fuck up, we lose the game.

That it happened to take two caster minions is just poor timing, promise.
If I'm trying to catch a wave that will be eaten by the tower otherwise, any CS I manage to get is completely accidental.
If I'm trying to help shove a wave, I'll easily last-hit everything from the ADC and any CS I manage to get is completely "accidental."
