Jumped into try out the Machinist. Man, that seems like a lot of fun! Hit drone buddy is super fun and turning super saiyan iron man is great. I really wish I could get into this game more. The art, characters, and animations are just so great. But move sets not optimized for a controller and all these MMO trappings are killing it for me. I got to the "Asian" island with my paladin and just gave up. If they could make a Diablo 3-like spin off with all the art assets, that would be great haha.
Have all 7 of my 50s at 460+ so I can take them to the next continent for story if I figure out who all I want to do that with, with my Bard actually there and questing and getting close to 600 over 600 now. I'm mostly just doing Chaos dungeons and soloing Guardian Raids. For the first few Guardian Raids, Bard was actually pretty strong, and I was pretty overgeared on ilvl by the time I tried the fourth fight, Vertus.
Little did I know Vertus was going to just ragdoll me forever unless I got good. Well, I didn't get good per se, as even on the third attempt where I killed him in 15m instead of timing out he got to ragdoll me a lot. I easily beat the next boss, the big turtle, without any real challenge or danger though it took me just as long.
Honestly he's really frustrating with his constant lengthy CCs if you mess something up, but at least being tougher should make him a better test for how I like my 50s for solo boss-fighting than smashing up the easier ones.
I guess I should also try these with other people to see how I enjoy classes in that context, but for now I'm having fun learning the classes in solo fights.

The 4th and final Guardian of each tier of Guardian Raid is usually more difficult than the ones that came before it. t1 and t2 guardians are kind of...well, let's just say that some of them are sort of poorly tuned and designed because smilegate was gung ho to copy Monster Hunter but didn't quite nail it. Some of these Guardians got nerfed later just because their difficulty/damage on some of their attacks was just not commensurate to the kind of gear the average player going through t1 and t2 now has as opposed to when there was actually no more content at those points and you were expected to be fully kitted out in that tier's abyss dungeon gear sets.

Update is confirmed for Dec. 14th, bringing in a bunch of stuff. Brelshaza legion raid! Cal Eligos guardian raid! Summoner class!

new GR is gonna be an exciting time on reddit/discord - the war between item users and savers is gonna be real hot and heavy (i will not be touching MM for him for a while it looks like)
pretty ready for Brel - I think Valtan is gonna be the raid I drop (clown is very quick and will only get quicker, and vykas drops the guaranteed class books) - prob just start driving it full time on any 1490 char, its pretty quick/easy at this point, and should be decent gold if 1500-2000g per person holds steady.

i'm on NAE which has had intermittent issues with server disconnects which seem to come and go; the last 3-4 days there were no issues but i dc'ed two or three times in 5 minutes today which cost me a chaos dungeon run on reaper
not sure which legion raid between vykas or valtan i'll be dropping, vykas has the class books like you said but it's still a much bigger pain in the ass than valtan since it actually requires most of your raid execute mechs
I still can't commit, but I'm making progress nonetheless.
I'm pretty sure I want to mostly focus on Bard and an assassin, but I keep going back and forth between Hunger Reaper and both Shadowhunter specs and I'm not completely off Deathblade since aesthetically it's the coolest...and reflux sorceress is still my easiest and fastest guardian kills and a lot of fun, but I think I'm traumatized from seeing all the bots.
The frog shop is not being extended - this is a true tragedy
I wasn't sure if they were going to figure out a way to wrangle their insane economy issues, but that vendor alone did some real work.

i would say that just knowing that the frog shop exists and can come back at any time as an adjustment lever for the economy hopefully keeps things from getting too out of hand but botters and RMTers don't really care about that i guess
took ~6 tries but i got my main through the new guardian boss. I assume it will be much much easier when we're over geared and when people actually know the mechanics
I succeeded once with a support and one without and the one with the support was basically a cakewalk

getting the buff from killing the cluster of 5 lightning orbs (it's a huge damage and cdr buff) that spawn in phase 2 after his stagger->counter->destruction mechanic seems essential to getting a faster clear before everyone learns all his moves but he still just is a very fast, spastic son of a gun

one of my groups managed to clear up to Brel g4, since we're not pushing hard for 1520 that's probably all we're doing for now and getting familiar with those gates before we worry about 5 and 6. Gate 1 is more or less a warm-up, I personally am not a big fan of Gate 2 because how much of a burden of execution is placed on the person fighting Prokel (though if your outside dps is strong obviously you can make it much easier for the 1v1er by constantly beating down the head for Sidereal charge + the stagger), Gate 3 was pretty fun since it's mostly all about execution, and Gate 4 is pretty nuts all around as a knowledge/reaction check while keeping uptime on the boss.

ok after going back on my 2nd 1500 character and clearing g3 and g4, those two gates are good imo. solid design all around once you know the major mechs, nothing seems super cheap
through the power of social engineering (aka convincing everyone who was making a brelshaza piece after g1/2 to let me have the auction box since they wouldn't need it anyways) i should be able to craft a Brel weapon week 2 combining the first clear rewards with 2 weeks worth of g1-4 clears
also i did finally manage to upgrade my weapon quality from being stuck in green limbo to at least a respectable blue quality and it only took me 30 stones of chaos minus a probably hundred or so i didn't keep track of!

nice - my main is a bard so i really haven't put much into my weapon, and sort of refuse to do so cuz im gonna be mad if it randomly goes high blue/purp/100 before my dps alts have reasonable weapons (but i did 100 qual my chest, which def bangs for sup)
The sad thing is my main striker had been stuck at 68 qual forever but i had 3 dps alts all tap to 75 or higher weapon quality within like 5 tries of getting their weapon

I don't appear to have gotten a ban and haven't played since the launch month, but if they are banning Steam accounts frivolously, I think it shows up in your VAC ban history and affects your account reputation in various ways across Steam. If this is true (and I'm not sure that it is) seems like they did this without understanding what the purpose of the steam ban system is.
The angry reviews complaining about this do look like real people though.
It shouldn't show up as a vac - game bans are very specific, and can be reversed (you'll see images in that reddit thread that basically show the screen, as well) - they've already commented on it & looks like it will be fixed soon. Very weird that this was a method they chose in order to help combat bots, thats for sure - I wonder how many old accounts they saw that had bot activity to force this kind of action being taken.

All of the unreleased classes look great, huh. I'll always give a 2h sword lady a try, Artist seems like a fun support, and Aeromancer with the combination of weather magic stuff and umbrella sword stuff is too cool.
And of the current classes, I'm most into my Reaper and Summoner, though I'm still going really slow since I'm playing like half a dozen other take-all-your-time-up games.

i want to say that Carl wasn't necessarily difficult once you got the hang of the patterns but it was extremely tedious and unfun if people weren't doing mechs or if it decided to just spin 24/7 given its attack speed, so these nerfs should make it a lot more manageable

in other news my guild cleared Brel g6 a week or two ago, with the delay due to missing people during the holidays and not being super fussed about pushing for that clear early on cause there's not much else to do till april where we just replace brel normal with brel hard lol
also i pitied my brel weap to +20 but at least i look cool now

that being said there's double login rewards and some various goodies being handed out via the anniversary event so those should help some assuming you stick around to grab them

I was vaguely hoping that what seemed like inevitable censorship would result in skins I'd like better than most for Artist, since I think the lewd-cosplay-micro-skirt aesthetic used on so many skins in the game is dumb.
But what censorship they did add is just on early sets, apparently, with no changes on paid outfits, so asses still hanging out of goofy outfits. Ah well.
At least these Priest skins look cool on everyone.

One thing I really wish this game had RE character customization is the ability to have two-tone pupils for some of the ones with shapes in them.
Edit: Man I wish they didn't (seemingly pointlessly) delay releases between the korean versions and everywhere else, I'd love to play the Slayer
